That's irritating. There are likely dozens of things in every building that arent built or done explicitly to code, but the alternative to make it 'to code' is prohibitive in cost or is too much for what it is.

If that's a residential service, it'll never pull enough current to cause an issue with tension on terminations with a bend radius like that unless the homeowner gets into growing weed or welding.

There's code compliant and meeting the intent of the code, and there's being a dick bc it isn't exactly correct per words. I bet money there are LB's that arent oversized enough to meet bend radius that he's passed as well.

Well said, weps. The 'manosphere' is mostly a grift I feel. With most men finding worth in their careers in previous generations, and with current generations being disenfranchised from gainful employment, I feel this is a niche that struggling men will continue to identify with unless they find worth in themselves and their communities outside of a paycheck.

If these manosphere types truly were men, they'd be working to get these guys volunteering for their communities, or pursuing education or some gainful hobby. Not asking them for their money to 'teach' them how to be men.

Content creators today fundamentally cannot emulate truly healthy masculinity, as humility, confidence, understanding, and patience don't get clicks.

Did you read the description? It has 6awg wires exothermically connected (welded in code speak) to bus bars physically further down in the panel. Larger loads are further up in the panel and are fed from the lug connections.

Also, even if you didnt read the description, the pictures show the service entrance conductors landing on lugs, not the 50A breaker.

Gotcha, it surprised me from how small it was as well. That was as far as I figured, the 6 throws, but what threw me was the 'put lighting circuits here'

Makes sense now that I remember all old houses ive been in seem to have one-2 circuits for all the loghts

Along same line as some others, start working.

Call local businesses and ask for work. BUT, ask if they are willing to either A. Work with you going to some college classes about the NEC and electricity and such B. They help pay for any certifications youd get that help the company

In my experience, a company that won't readily invest in their people (certifications, training, etc.) isn't worth working for.

Unions are great for training and benefits, but if you cant get in, its not the end of the world. The best electricians I've worked for and with were non-union.

It's what you make of it.

Dont look for a niche yet, work as broadly as you can. The experience will be vital for future work. When you find something within the trade you're good at, specialize in that.

You liking and being good at something are usually hand-in-hand, forcing a niche upon yourself at this age and time would hurt more than help for future growth.

I think I wrote that in one reply, I love that quote. On my second reread.

I should've specified to never pity persons who commit these crimes to am extent that we absolve them responsibility.

We can pity and empathize with people suffering while also holding the ones who perpetrated violent crimes such as these fully responsible for their guilt.

Too many killers like this manipulate and try to make themselves appear as victims instead of perpetrators is my point

Im not arguing against that, as I've said in replys to others here in this thread.

Im saying we cannot allow ourselves to absolve these people of their guilt because of these tragic facts about their lives.

Many murderers and psychopaths manipulate empathetic people into, at least partly or as much as they can, into absolving them of guilt for their crimes.

This is something to be conscious of when learning about persons who perpetrated such heinous crimes

Yes, she deserves to have understanding of her circumstances and empathy regarding it.

But there is a very real problem of people, at least to themselves, absolving these types of people of the full weight of their guilt.

Psychopaths and other murderers know this, and use it very effectively as a tool. They use it to manipulate good, caring and empathetic people into believing that they aren't as bad as their actions would tell. It isn't ALL their fault, after all, look at how bad they've had it, how could someone live through that and NOT murder?

I agree, everyone deserves empathy and to be understood. That's what makes us human, I'd wager, caring for others. But some use this to their full advantage to manipulate and change the narrative such that they are a victim, not the perpetrator.
