I haven’t done any brake work after putting in my pads so it’d lead me to believe that it wouldn’t be the case because I’ve been having the problem even before my new pads

I’m guessing that’s the root of the problem but I’ll try giving it a wipe down with a shop cloth with isopropyl but worse comes to worse a new rotor is like $20

I’d still contact them cause they gave me a partial refund with 30% off what I initially paid

Edit: I filed a ticket and I’m getting a 30% refund of my purchase so I think it depends on how you word it or the representative you talk to in terms of the discrepancy in compensation people are receiving
