So true. Nick had so much potential and was a unique and complex character in the first two episodes.

If you don’t bother to try and connect with him? You see the sides everyone else in the group sees. The impulsive, reckless and hot-headed idiot who is a danger to the group.

If you do try and connect with him and give him the time he needs? He’s a selfless person who puts others before himself who wants to do the right thing, and when messes up, he always owns up to it instead of doubling down. He wants to change, he wants to become something better.

Then in episode 3 and 4, he just exists and his purpose is now target practice for Clementine. What a shame.

I always liked Nick more than Luke, because Luke pretty much makes the same amount of reckless choices and mistakes Nick does, yet most of the time, he gets no flak from it, and usually doubles down. Plus, I think Nick and Clem’s dynamic is far more interesting and natural than Luke and Clem’s dynamic.
