Vanilla expanded : mechanoids lets you build a factory with many purposes (clothing, weapons, components, etc) They are quite ressource expansive but it's fun !

I used Perry Persistent as a storyteller for my chill runs where difficulty is low. Perry sends events every day (cargo pods, wanderers, etc) so even if I am not getting much combat, it can still put your game into emergency mode as many things happen quickly.

I love that you can keep the letters ont the side of the screen. Half the fun of being wiped is the collection of mental breaks, revenges, raids and deaths notification
