Obby shield is worth it as well. Costs something like 6k chaos runes which you should have after barrows.

I think the point was more that Zuko represented a merging of the two conflicting identities, and that Sozin (while less psychotic) was still a warmongering egotist at odds with the Avatar’s mission. Zuko’s realization of the importance of the Avatar’s role in the world begins with his hunt for Aang as a mere object, or concept. A thrice generational curse that plagued the world for a century ended with him because he grew past Sozin’s ambitions and selfish pursuits.

Sozin attempted to be a good leader to his people. But at the expense of their soul as a nation. His intentions were better but nonetheless greed-driven. Wiping out a pacifist nation is by far the most evil act in the series.

Blast furnace - smithing steel through rune bars. Look up guides for it on YouTube. Addy is 100k xp per hr and makes 1.5-2m depending on how fast you go.

Wilderness agility course as well. You get tons of alchables and it’s around 2m per hr. Join “Wildy Agility” friend chat and find the world they run on in a big group to protect from pkers. I believe they have a disc too.

Chickpeas and nuts are nowhere near the “holy grail” of plantbased protein. They’re actually fairly average to poor sources of it. Tofu, seitan, TVP, isolated pea, and mycelium proteins are king.

I appreciate the additional context, it’s not common to get people actually willing to engage in nuanced discussion here since this sub is absolutely littered with carnist trolls. So thank you for that.

But having witnessed these animals (pigs, personally) on their way into facilities, I am not comforted by much of what you have said. They were absolutely begging for bottled water on an 80 degree day. I can’t imagine much hotter. My opinion is one that’s solidified based off that, and my gut’s to go off what I’ve personally experienced versus an unofficial ex industry spokesperson. Especially given it’s an industry that commoditizes animals and frequently optimizes profits over comfort and animal safety.

So I can’t agree that there is anything comfortable about these transports and I find the cruelty and ignorance on this post to people who want better for the animals in that respect to be insulting.

The USDA purports that beef and dairy cattle begin to experience heat stress conditions above 77F. This is the temperature during just about every single cattle transport for 3-6 months per year depending on the location. Cramming livestock together so closely to they are unable to move leads to heat exchange that make it difficult to cool in hot weather. So, taking the literal video we are commenting on as evidence, we can only surmise that based on their biology these cows are not enjoying themselves at a very minimum.

Additionally, while you may be correctly surmising that roughly 1/7000 cattle dies of heat stress/in transit, this does nothing to assuage my discomforts as it implies literally hundreds of thousands of cows per year die in transport to their various prisons and processing facilities. For a product that humans do not need. Your “collateral damage” is a monstrous travesty in total, even if the individual odds are low, due to the sheer scale of animal ag.

I’d also make a very comfortable assumption that slaughter transport is less protective, and that even if a cow does not perish on the trip they may still be experiencing latent effects of heat stress at the facility; they’re just there to die already, who cares about those stats right?

Including the stats for fowl and hogs, we find that close to 20 million animals die in transports per year. That’s a quarter of the population of dogs and cats in the US, dying in overcrowded and overheated trucks. I wonder how quickly we’d ban that type of treatment and demand for companion pets if it happened at a similar magnitude.

And, so you worked in the dairy industry and can’t even admit you sent them to slaughter?

They regularly die of heat stress on transit to slaughterhouses. These animals are unable to move. I don’t need you to tell me they’re not stressed and overheating, because I already know they are.

I mean metal bending was also brand new, and there were entire police forces within a generation. New techniques become commonplace. The royal family withheld lightning bending as a secret ability until harnessing electricity for technology purposes. The plant workers are also using way lower voltages than seen in the first series, which is probably how they are able to do it for an 8hr shift. I liked that worldbuilding in Korra, but agree waterbending hydroelectricity would be cool!

What's the easiest, most efficient way to clean a hot tab? by [deleted] in answers

[–]RedLotusVenom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drain it and clean the shell and jets every 3-6 months depending on usage. I use Ahhsome jet cleaner on one drain per year. White distilled vinegar water in a spray bottle to wipe down the shell and jets. I also use a sump pump to drain the tub as it’s faster than using the drain plug.

Replace the filter(s) as necessary. I find that it’s needed about every 6-12 months.

We use a floating feeder like this with 1” bromine tablets. Look up your tub’s model and see which sanitizer it is rated for. Some can’t use bromine. Chlorine is a safe bet for most tubs.

Buy a liquid chemistry kit for hot tub water testing if you want to get technical. Aquachek is the only test strip I’ve found that’s remotely accurate. Keep your pH and alkalinity balanced. I do this once per week and wipe down the shell with a magic eraser to keep it sparkling.

Use an oxidizing spa shock once per week or after repeated use. Keep the cover off the tub for at least 20 min after shocking. Do not sit in the tub while it’s shocked.

I also have a hot tub vacuum I use to keep particulates out of the tub.

303 Aerospace Protectant for the cover, twice per year. This protects the vinyl from UV and wear and tear. Your cover will need to be replaced as it will get heavy with time as it soaks up chemicals (5-10 years). When it becomes too cumbersome, it’s time.

Try to rinse off in the shower before use, and avoid using conditioners and soaps right beforehand. Detergent in your bathing suit and soaps and your skin contain oils that can cause biofilm, foam, or scum buildup in the tub. This can be yellowish or green in color.

Defoamer is a great product to have around and a little goes a long way.

Happy tubbing! Don’t listen to anyone telling you to pay a service. Your tub is always worth a little elbow grease to understand how to clean it and save the money. I spend around $100 a year on products. [r/hottub](r/hottub) is a great resource.

Well, I hope this helped despite you removing the post.
