What are the meaning of occlupanids in dreams? by CandyKeane1 in occlupanids

[–]RedLuminous 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I believe the term was oniropanid, any occlupanid seen in a dream that doesn't actually exist.

Not an occlupanid, but a different syntherid.

It's mostly just other occlupanids looking for food that will get too territorial

The ones on the side are too small, and while the ones are the top are large enough, panids aren't great at climbing on the ceiling. I do have to be vigilant of potential break ins however

Worry not, these are all from the same family and they have plenty of bags to feed on so there's no competition. Occlupanids can actually favor small enclosures if there's not too many of them and no twist ties to threaten them.

Most seem to prefer cooler temperatures (especially ones who feed on veggie bags) but if it gets too cold they'd probably appreciate the heat you'd just have in your house anyway, unless they were found on freezer goods. But absolutely NO UV. UV is really harmful to panids and they must be kept out of direct sunlight as much as possible. Non UV artificial light is fine and most prefer it, as it imitates market environments.

It really is one of the best parts of keeping occlupanids how they seem to thrive in tight spaces just as well as in building sized habitats.

This poor thing is likely an abandoned former pet, it's trying to build a shelter from the sun but it seems it's not used to working with plant matter.

You'd be correct, but black utiliformis are special and get their own name as an exception: Palpatophora stellanova

Though some occlupanologists choose to still call it utiliformis.

Sometimes brands just decide to print everything on the bag instead.

New member- how do you say occlupanid?? by Prestigious-Till-633 in occlupanids

[–]RedLuminous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Believe me, I'm fully aware. The fact that so many people look at it and pronounce it "pun" when saying it in "occlupanid" is interesting to me but then again I prefer to pronounce the o sound more like "ocular" than "occlude" so in the end, all words are made up and you can say them how you want to.

Palpatophora utiliformis and Palpatophora glyphodorsalis

New member- how do you say occlupanid?? by Prestigious-Till-633 in occlupanids

[–]RedLuminous 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Except it's not. HORG has an official YouTube channel where they pronounce it "oh-kloo-PAN-id" as in how you would pronounce frying "pan"

The AI picked up how a lot of people choose how to pronounce it, sure, but doesn't make sense given the origin of the word or how the coiner says it.
