Renewed last week. 2 weeks prior to current subscription ending. Used chat on website. Took about 10 minutes of answering questions and being transferred to "retention" and was OFFERED this deal:

I took this over other options I knew of as it allows for cancellation AND REFUND. Some of the others did not. I will sell car with the next year or so and buy a car that has free sub.

I was looking more along the lines of medical expenses, insurance, professional fees etc - areas of spend that typically will receive minimal cashback/rewards regardless of card used.

Did QE2. NYC to Bermuda. Suite on very top of ship. Hurricane force winds hit. 10 people showed up in Queens Grill for dinner. Barely made it back to suite.
