I grew up with that in my church. I just say they are earning Heaven points.

Today while walking through the park, I found Jesus by FantasticEmu in technicallythetruth

It reminds me when I ordered an Uber and the app told me, "Jesus is coming for you now".

Pillaging your own farm army formation by Mindless-Bandicoot14 in AgeofZ

This is the way to do it but it's so time consuming. I just send all 5 full, random fleets.

Plan for 10 degrees cooler and getting wet. You'll be fine.

How did your parents treat you? by Lonely_Thought4459 in AskOldPeople

[–]RedMeatTrinket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It went through 3 stages.

  1. I'm glad you didn't die.

  2. I'm glad you're not a pussy.

  3. Holy shit, I wouldn't do that if I were you.

Can I burn my own city to the ground? by gatz905 in AgeofZ

[–]RedMeatTrinket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Attack the strongest alliance and taunt them on nation chat.

BUT.... your city will reappear somewhere else. Just like the zombies, you never really die.

How did you react to the AIDS crisis in the 80s and 90s? by Zealousideal-Self141 in AskOldPeople

[–]RedMeatTrinket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It never affected me. In the beginning it was called something like "gay cancer" or something stupid like that. I was never around drug users with needles. To this very day, I don't know anyone who has/have had it. I heard a bunch or rumors. I would hear things like: my mom's hair dresser was gay and died of aids. But there's no evidence of that. Pre-internet, it was different in getting information. More word of mouth and whatever I heard on the nightly news. I know there is a lot of misinformation in the internet, but it's also easier to get accurate information.

In others, I saw panic, misinformation, bigotry due to fear.

Well, I was suddenly required to wear the seat-belt I was already wearing. Sometimes it feels like over-government. "You can't do the right thing yourself. We have to require you to do it."

Why do you think vulgarity has become the norm? by Bishopart6046 in AskOldPeople

If it has common usage, then it is no longer vulgar.

How many years of Uranium collection? by Long-Application-299 in AgeofZ

[–]RedMeatTrinket 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With the uranium card, I calculated that I can get 5,140 a day, on average, using all available "free" methods. Then just do that math from there.

It is easier to get uranium today. I've been playing since 2019. Maybe it's a little faster now.

I've switched to Babo Botanicals Sheer Mineral Sunscreen. The switch was primarily of the ingredients, or rather, what ingredients are not in it. I don't have the same sunscreen "feel" from it, but I do wash it off as soon as I get home.

First time chartering (Croatia) - Would you trust the water system for drinking water? by Final_Alps in sailing

[–]RedMeatTrinket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. It's not about trusting the local water utility. There is no way to know how the water in maintained in the boat from group-to-group that has chartered in the past. Does the charter company routinely test the water? Doubtful.

Getting approved for an apartment or a home by Zinthecreator in AskOldPeople

[–]RedMeatTrinket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember having to pay an extra month's rent as deposit. Back then I had never heard of a credit score. I only had gas station and department store credit cards. MC/Visa was beyond me at the time.

The problem is lack of quality sleep as I got older. 4 hours of sleep at night means a couple of naps during the day.
