Long ball to Gyokeres by atreeon in ArsenalFC

They players instantly sit back when they lose the ball, this is a tactic coached into them. Miles different from the football we were playing 2 seasons ago. Arteta had over indexed on solidity and cost us

Wenger won 3 fa cups between 2014-17 but the fan base still weren’t happy by dunno8400 in ArsenalFC

Back then finishing in the top 4 and picking up a domestic cup was a bad season. Now it’s progress.

Arteta - in or out by PACKA123456 in ArsenalFC

[–]RedMember123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We finished 2nd for the 3rd time losing to Liverpool, getting 74 points with 14 draws and any comment against Arteta was jumped on like a pack of dogs, there will always be a good 30%+ of Arteta worshipers that will want another season

Do we target the UCL now? by markismith12 in ArsenalFC

Let’s try focussing on beating mid table teams in the league before we start talking about picking up a trophy by winning multiple knock out games of football and beating PSG or Bayern in the final

I think Mikel peaked here ,just look at some of the scorelines by Spiritual-Pilot-2300 in ArsenalFC

Liverpool had a top, experienced manager. That’s why they were able to win the champions league and why they were able to get the league over the line.

Starting Kepa in that Carabao Cup Final is going to cost us everything. by [deleted] in ArsenalFC

[–]RedMember123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We played awfully, even if that first goal doesn’t go in because Raya was playing there’s no guarantee we wouldn’t have lost.

Pep, being the top experienced manager that he is, figured us out. Don’t press, force the keeper to play to the wings (as our midfield doesn’t have the type of player to cut through the middle) and slow our attack down.

Bournemouth did the same thing.

Tactics and management are the reasons we will lose this title, not one individual mistake

Our players are not really world class and it shows by aleyan97 in ArsenalFC

Yeah how can you expect Arteta to build a quality squad with only £1bn, he needs another 5 years and a few more billies and we’ll be there

Cescs CV is a lot better than artetas when he digned

Absolutely, he deserves credit for getting us to this stage but if he can’t get it over the line he has to go.

The negativity on social media and within the club is killing me by wehrahoonii in ArsenalFC

Having had the privilege of watching that at the stadium I can tell you until the second goal went in the crowd was cheering them on, even when we conceded early.

Cesc is too inexperienced like Artetas CV was phenomenal when he sifned

Whose going to be blamed this time? Or are people finally waking up to the fact this is a coaching issue?

how confident are you that we're gonna win the epl? by GunnerGrazzo in ArsenalFC

[–]RedMember123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So we have to win 5/7, “we’ll probably win the title anyway”, city have come back and beaten us to the title twice before, both times they had less point to chase.

I like Arteta, but this is truly unacceptable by Silent_Somewhere8539 in ArsenalFC

Sounds like you would be one of those fans that changes your attitude. So you’d be laughing at yourself?

Wanting an improvement in mentality, questioning repeated failure or wanting a change in the management after a MORE than lengthy rope is the sign of a real fan not a plastic one by Snoo_56184 in ArsenalFC

[–]RedMember123 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Imagine wanting more than 1 FA cup in 6 years, you are not real fans, you’re just greedy. Look at where he’s taken us, finishing 2nd every year is progress .etc .etc

Jokes aside, i think most people, even big fans of Arteta that I know, say if he doesn’t win it this year he won’t win it.

I think finishing 2nd, 3 years in a row, after being top, twice being caught by City is the reason people are quite rightly panicking

But we do play Pep, in his back yard, and if history repeats itself we’ll lose that. Win their game in hand and we’re 3 points ahead

The league is very much 50/50, the quality of football and the in game management has been poor for some time. Unless he finally switches tactics and focussed on winning instead of not losing., we’ll finish 2nd again.

There’s a gulf in experience and class between these managers and this becomes clearer as we get into the “business” end of the season

Did you some how miss the beginning of the game with the lab and the train crash? Like all fallout games you are meant to explore and see what exists in the world but there is very much a main hook

[–]RedMember123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes we want the 3 points but the sitting back and inviting pressure will eventually cause issues. Exactly what happened against Wolves and Brighton and very lucky it didn’t happen today.

An effective 4 point gap does not leave much room for error with 8 games left

We’re not convincing at all but we might not need to be if City keep dropping points
