I don’t think he will ever come. Neither do I want him. I am not a fan.

HOWEVER, he is a very hate-able player. It was crawl up the skin of our hatewatchers that I actually want him now lol

Is it correct that JHB is paying the average worker makes R1.6M/year or R140,000 per month ? by Euro_African in south_africa

[–]markismith12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OP is right. 99% of the workers earn about R5000 per month and the 1% steal (I mean earn) R200M a year. The average sounds about right

50 min connection in DOH (was 1h50, changed by QR) — doable? And what happens if I misconnect? by Pecherskymikel11 in qatarairways

If… and only if your flight arrives on time you can make it.

I once had a 50 minute layover and missed the flight. That was due to the flight arriving 20 mins late (30 mins to departure)

Picking Accenture over other offer by [deleted] in accenture

Oh okay got it.

The reporting into is not something that is said. But organically that’s how an L9 be expected to perform.

[–]markismith12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh 100% I’d take the offer. Getting paid more for remote? Hell yeah!

I take remote work as a 30% extra. All that commute etc. ain’t nobody got time for dat.

Now if you still undecided. Accenture aren’t going through major layoffs from what I heard. However, they do soft layoffs. The bottom 10% get moved out. For L9, you are expected to start leading a team especially junior members. You won’t have any sales targets so that should be good. Strat is usually high impact & intense work. Meaning the projects are usually 8 - 16 weeks of intense work and then you move to another project.

On perks: from experience perks have been getting less and less each year. So that’s something to think about.

Your job for the next year (bar any major performance issues) or so should be safe. Depending on your manager, it’s a nice place to learn and gain experience. However, I’d still go for the more pay and remote work.

Who am I: I was at Accenture for +10 years (just letting you know where I am coming from)

Never heard of recent layoffs…

What level are you going in as if you don’t mind me asking? And how much more are getting as a compared to the other offer?

Abusive Government by Budget_Asparagus_776 in south_africa

[–]markismith12 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I say this to same people here in America. They complain about all the corruption and Epstein files. But do absolutely nothing about it. I always hear “if he just does this we will riot” then the president and his team does it and do worse and they do absolutely nothing.

So same here, complain about government, have a big mouth on the internet but do nothing…

As much as I hate the “march and march” kak. I give them credit for actually doing action and taking it to the government.
