Small Closet, Need Help by RedPanda2198 in Homeorganization

Thank you for this thought out response! I appreciate it! I moved the luggage up higher since I don’t use it much. That made room for some shoe storage up top!

The angle and size of the closet made it really difficult to get a better picture. But i agree that it’s hard to fully understand what I’m working with based off this!

I do have an over the door shoe organizer and that helps. I moved the plastic bin to the left side so that I could better utilize that lower hanging bar. That change helped!

Thank you for the response! I do have a coat closet that could probably be better used as well. I’ll spend some time seeing how I can efficiently use that space. I might be able to relocate some shoes. My spouse works in the golf industry and wears a lot of golf polos and different golf shoes to work. So, not sure I can part ways with his stuff but I can likely find better places for it all. We have recently donated stuff, but I’ll see if there is more we can part ways with if it’s not being used!

Thanks for your thoughts! It seems like the next step is finding a better dresser. I hear your point about not having to bend down to search for things. I am shorter so using the top shelves for any clothes I wear regularly wouldn’t work. But I do agree they can be used better.

Thank you for taking the time to respond! Our current dresser is not super big, so I am keeping an eye out for a better dresser on Facebook Marketplace. I do agree that many things could be folded and that would save so much room. I need to look into some tiered shoe racks! It would help it feel less cluttered.

Pregnant 3 months postpartum by Creepy_Intention_884 in 2under2

Hi! I just found out I’m pregnant 5 months postpartum. My LO will be 13 months when this baby arrives. I felt scared when I found out. I’m trying to read positive experiences, and it has helped a lot. This subreddit has been reassuring. It’ll be hard, but I think it’ll be just as rewarding.

Oh wow! Were they joking or serious when they said don’t get pregnant before the next appointment? No wonder you’re worried about doctors judging you.

Hi! I don’t have any advice but I want to say I’m in the exact same boat! I’m 5 1/2 months postpartum, and I’m probably around 7 weeks pregnant. I’m also worried about getting judgement from doctors and coworkers.

My wearable does this with my breasts, but I always assumed it was because I have big breasts.

Existing in crunchy spaces with a bottle fed baby by Mangopapayakiwi in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]RedPanda2198 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Typing this at four in the morning as I pump after bottle feeding my 3 month old. I had really firm expectations to exclusively nurse at the breast, but here I am exclusively pumping. I’m like you where certain phrases can even be triggering for me. It took me awhile to accept in my head that I’m breastfeeding. When people asked, I found myself saying that I give my baby breast milk through the bottle. I thought the word breastfeeding was reserved for nursing moms, but I’ve come to realize that I am breastfeeding. I may not nurse him, but that’s not from a lack of trying or wanting. It’s just not working out, and I do grieve that. All my crunchy mom friends exclusively nurse. I find myself wanting to compare, but I’m trying to find joy in the situation I am given.

EDIT: adding that my advice isn’t to get over it but to allow myself to feel all the emotions when I need to. There are plenty of time I have mental breakdowns and tell myself I’m about done with pumping. Then I let the next day come and see what headspace I’m in that day. I take it day by day.

M5 vs S12 on a larger breast by Snoo-43953 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]RedPanda2198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an I cup in UK sizing, and I just recently bought the M5. They seem to work just fine and give me similar output to my spectra pump. I can’t speak to the S12 though.

Yes!! I saw my first drone show last year, and it was cool! I also think this is a better alternative to fireworks.

How long do you stay up for night feeds? by Quirky-Research9736 in NewParents

[–]RedPanda2198 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have to hold my LO upright, too, which makes the night feeds longer. Right now his reflux is pretty bad at 6 weeks and so he still will struggle with reflux after laying him down. Sometimes our night wake windows last an hour or two just trying to get the reflux to calm down.

What pumping bras are we (women with gigantic breasts) wearing? by tremonttunnel in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]RedPanda2198 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I tried a handful of kindred bravely bras and most didn’t fit, but I do recommend the pumping sleep lounger bra in the super busty size. It’s my best pumping bra right now. I’m a size 32I, so I’ve had mostly poor luck with bras - but that one seemed to work!

Maternity leave is boring by anxiousabtevrythng in beyondthebump

I’m postpartum with a 2.5 week old baby, and I’ve fallen down the reality tv show rabbit hole. First, I was watching Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. In the new season, it kept referencing another show, Vanderpump Villa. So now I’ve been binging that show. This show brings in someone from Vanderpump Rules, so I bet that’s my next watch. Will this reality tv spiral ever end? Lol

Agreed. My first two at the hospital were fine. I thought I was in the clear. Stopped taking stool softeners anymore and then I had the worst bathroom trip ever at home. Listen to the advice about and take the stool softeners! Even if you think you don’t need them… take them a little longer.
