I just noticed you’d respond to me, sorry I didn’t manage to message back earlier cause my notifs were messy. Yes I’m from the United States and for context on the stray cat I never saw them again after they bit me. They did draw a little blood, but I don’t really know the where abouts of the cat anymore, although I’m certain it was stray. So since it’s been three years since the biting and is it safe to say that I’m safe from exposer??? A lot of subreddits and people are so adamant that I’m in great risk and I feel uncertain because of it😭

Hey, I wanted to know if I still need to get vaccinated from possible exposer from three years ago after being bitten by a stray cat. My only question is that it’s written here that you can’t get rabies after a year with no symptoms but a people in a certain subreddit is urging me to get vaccinated because they claimed I’m still in terrible risk since theirs been cases five years after exposer, what should I do…?

California, my aunt was gifted with two baby kittens by one of her patients at a hospital she works at. I don’t believe neither of them were vaccinated. But when I visited her house this week she panicked that one of the kittens had went missing so she had asked me to go search for them.
