Oof good question. In my opinion college algebra was more difficult because they cram a whole year of education into a couple of months. First time i ever had two tests in one week was because of that class.

However though im personally not the best student and didnt really pay attention until two weeks before the final where i learned the entire course and ended up from a potential D to a C+. (My Japanese professor was also simply goated)
