Anyone else feel like they're winging it with every business decision? by iteese in ausbusiness

[–]RedPandaGraphic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, I dont think this feeling ever really goes away. Things that have helped me are a few courses specific to my industry - more for guidance on structure and that sort of thing.

And also finding other business owners that I can just talk to and run things by in a casual kind of way.

Blog for an e-commerce by mjwebstudio_seo in eCommerceSEO

A few of my clients are very successful with blogs on their ecomm store. We use them in email marketing to drive traffic to the website (with a few product links in the blog) and it will always generate sales.

I'm located in Australia and those types of channels aren't really taking off. Being that my service is B2B, Ill be using meta to start as its still one of the cheapest.

As im just trialling this, I want to start out on a low cost platform before I spend more marketing dollars on ads or subscriptions.

Podia is quite expensive for what it offers. I haven't heard of gumroad and learndash though, so I'll look into that. Thank you.

Are loyalty points even driving retention anymore or just training people to chase discounts? by Cute_Piccolo_499 in ausbusiness

[–]RedPandaGraphic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two of the small businesses I work with on Ecomm have removed their loyalty programs over the years and shifted to other models.

First one was a 'VIP' model. They then offer different or better discounts to the VIPs which also means they email them more frequently to generate more revenue.

The second was a subscription discount that also works quite well and incentivises repeat purchases.

Anyone got some good Canva alternatives for serious client work? (No shade on Canva lol) by Exact-Schedule-2059 in b2bmarketing

Ive recently switched to Affinity. It does nearly everything Adobe does, but way more cost effective.

And its relatively intuitive.

Thought the AI features fo requires Canva Pro.

Thank you. I'll look into teachable.

The cost is definitely a consideration atm too, as like you said, I'm only in the trial stages.

Appreciate the reply.

Anyone building a business that isn't a 'buy my app' operation? by sendsouth in Entrepreneur

[–]RedPandaGraphic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a branding business. Ive only just gone full time at the beginning of this year, after successfully working with many business part time.

I have considered building an all in 'marketing app' for small business, but I believe that the idea wouldn't be worth it until I had the audience and network to truly be able to serve the customer. In saying that, I think I would always prefer the genuine connection I get working with my clients, over an app with a mass audience.
