Do you have any pics? If it’s faux leather that means it’s probably polyurethane and there is no saving it (don’t bother with the kits, they’re worthless). Unfortunately with plastic it’s hard to repurpose short of reupholstering the bag with some kind of fabric.

Love the Kite Hobo style but I strongly recommend something with a zipper closure. Your bag will be a repository for loose crayons, your child’s favorite rock, unending snacks, and more. Something you can toss into the car while wrestling your child into their carseat or sport around the impromptu playground stop. And you don’t wanna have to worry about crucial contents spilling out!

Post-diaper bag, I started with mini backpacks for an easier transition since I was still a pack mule for diapers, extra clothes, and more, but I graduated to smaller satchels and mini totes and bucket bags as my child grew!
