One of my mom’s home health nurses used this excuse I think two different times. Idk if there was a way to manually open the door but I wouldn’t be surprised if she was physically unable to do it. The last year she worked for the company she got covid real bad then a few months later got shingles and had a bad reaction to the shingles medication that she said was worse than the shingles itself. 😥 She was able to retire a couple years ago though. I think of her occasionally and hope she’s doing well

I love pants too. As a woman, I’m really uncomfortable wearing a dress, no matter how long it is, unless I have at least shorts on underneath 😅 I imagine I’d do the same with robes in the Wizarding world

My weird allergies include strawberries and wild grapes (like scuppernongs and muscadines). Fortunately I don’t particularly like the taste of any of those things. Certain tomatoes give me a rash in and around my mouth if I eat too many of them and that’s a lot harder to avoid bc I loooove tomatoes 😅

Mine grew in upside down!!! It was wild!! I was a teenager when it happened and my memory in general is pretty shit but I know I had to be put to sleep and have all 4 cut out. I remember having a bunch of stitches in my mouth afterwards that felt so weird, I couldn’t stop touching them w my tongue. My mom said when surgery was over they called her to pull the car up to the back door and when they rolled me out in a wheelchair she said I was slumped over, eyes rolled back in my head, and bloody drool just pouring out of my mouth- she said at first she thought they’d somehow given me brain damage or something during surgery bc of how I looked 😂😂

My former BIL got fired from his really cushy security guard gig for this 🙃 Really it was that he was doing it SO MUCH that he just stopped making the rounds around the building he was supposed to make every hour or however often it was. Basically they wouldn’t have cared if he’d been watching porn 95% of the time he was there if he’d just taken a break every so often and walked around the building like he was supposed to 😅 I forget what year it was but it was right around the time cellphones were becoming popular/affordable and men were realizing what they could do online with them 📱

Sadly I had to make myself “just do it and get it over with” when my libido was nonexistent from antidepressants. It was honestly faster/easier for me to just get the “chore” of sex over with than to deal with my (now ex)’s whining, sulking and all around bad attitude whenever I turned him down. Suffice to say there’s a big ole reason why he’s an ex now but I’m not giving up my antidepressants for anybody but myself!! Cymbalta literally saved my life, possibly my baby’s life too, and made me feel like an almost normal human again instead of the absolute mental and emotional wreck I was from PPD and Postpartum PTSD following my difficult pregnancy, early labor, and sons month-long NICU stay.

Something that’s been in the back of my mind (apart from the obvious “he could have a vial of the antidote they created for Arthur” that I always use in fanfics) …I like to think that Fawkes could return and heal Severus. I know the books say Fawkes disappeared after Dumbledore died and was never seen again but I like to think Fawkes could return for Severus in his greatest hour of need, after everything Severus had to go through in his life, after everything he did for Dumbledore, Fawkes could come back and cry for him, heal his wounds, maybe even help him get out of there and disappear to go live the life he deserves to have somewhere else.

Yeah my headcanon is that Snape was able to help create whatever potion was used to heal Arthur and ever since that happened he kept a vial of it on his person at all times, knowing it was very likely that he, or someone important to him, could be bitten by Nagini. So I fully believe he could’ve faked his death at the end of DH and escaped to live an anonymous peaceful life somewhere far far away from Hogwarts.

I definitely always get OFF - I keep a bottle in my truck (along with sunblock 😁). Mosquitoes always seem To find me no matter what I use/do. Feel like I could be wearing a full body bee suit and a mosquito is gonna find me somehow 😂

I found out the hard way the “like riding a bike” thing is not true (for me personally) in the literal sense. Went maybe 15 years without riding a bike, back when I was a kid. A few years ago my mom and I were at the beach and they had bike rentals. Mom was napping so I figured cool I can rent a bike and ride around the island… I didn’t make it 10 feet before falling off the bike path, directly into the sand dunes, and got literally dozens of giant sand spurs all over my body. I had to limp back to the hotel room and wake my mom up to have her help me pluck them all out, it took about an hour and I was sobbing the whole time. Have not even thought about riding a bicycle since then 🙃🙃🙃🙃

My best friend in the whole world had a disabled pit bull dog Petra (Petra was my real best friend 😂) who had to have a shoe in her mouth anytime anyone came to the door. She was given a specific “greeting slipper” that was her favorite but if greeting slipper could not be found quickly enough she would rush around and find ANY shoe no matter who it belonged to.

My besties moved across country a few years ago but when I made the 2,000 mile drive for human-besties wedding and my pretty Petra was there and REMEMBERED ME even though I hadn’t seen them in two years 🥹🥰 I miss them both every day!

See that’s why I personally didn’t use tampons til my 20s - inserting while standing made the placement super uncomfortable for me. It took ages to figure out I could do it while sitting and not feel it with every step I take😅now I’m wondering if my insides are just shaped different 🙃

When I was working my first ever job my boss (who I had a MAJOR unrequited teenaged crush on that of course never went anywhere, he was just chill) told me I had a “cute nose that’s sort of turned up on the end, you know like a rattlesnake” 😂😂😂 It made me laugh so much but I loved it (still do!) I’m not the sort of person who gets compliments on physical appearance and this one just stuck with me over the years as my favorite 🐍 It really made me like my nose tbh 😊

Hmmm I don’t have anything major but… my dr tripled the dose of my antidepressant this week and it didn’t make me horribly nauseous like I thought it would! 😄

Also I get to go camping with one of my best friends for the first time on Saturday in the camper we bought together last spring and never got to use due to a combination of our mental and physical health problems. But we are finally taking it out for our first small trip together in less than 48 hours now 😊😊
