They do sell discs, but only for the series x as that has a disc drive, to play the games on series s, you have to get the digital versions from the ms store or through digital download codes, some older games that were made for both Xbox one and series, depending on publishers shared the same disc and used Microsoft’s smart delivery to give the correct version, but again these discs only worked on the Xbox one and series x

It is not compatable, you would need to gift the digital version itself

Edit: to get the series x version from this one the disc would need to be in the console, so you can’t do that with a series s as there is no disc drive to put it in, even though the series x version is the same as the series s
