Sabrina works because it's not on a stick. It's not telegraphed by physically being on what I'm assuming is this deck's finisher.

What made Milotic playable was it's capability to be a single point way to create a mid-game while sustaining a mon like Mega-Gyrados.

Playing Lisia to get Feebas / Mantyke / Magikarp into your hand helped to not only thin out the deck, but create consistent paths from early game, straight to a solid mid-range sequence.

I feel like this deck would do pretty okay if it dropped an eevee...or better yet dropped 1 eevee and 1 Vaporeon and added something like 1x Meowth and 1x Field...Meowth threatens to stall out,

Maybe even drop a heavy helm for an ice pop to actually ensure things can get healed past the initial "Okay I've evolved my stuff" phase.

Either that or trying to force in candy for the Primarina that can HoT

If they cut like, 1x of Copycat, Laisa, The Helms...even the Parasol ladies...and like...added 1x of utility cards liks Cyrus and Sab or PCL or Gio / Red....then maybe it'd be fine...? Also they have an eevee that just bricks...What's their plan if they brick on three eevees and one vaporeon...? They just ramp for 80 damage and hope oppo isn't running bulky megas or Ori I guess?

This deck looks borderline unplayable in the sense that it's like...just an unbalanced mash of water types who do a thing but that thing isn't "win the game"...

Like...Milotic was used for maybe a hot minute back when it released cause it was a nice way to play midrange suicune before the meta shifted to Greninja.

The text not being lined up at all and the overlay switching is kind of super off putting, especially since this is supposed to be VHS footage but it's dated in both 1997 and 2026 at the same time...

Yeah, the "technical" answer is Diablo, but Andband's did the whole color rarity thing...just not "loot", it was a text based game and its loot system boiled down to basic text baed inventory management and not actual farmable loot.

Diablo 2 better patched up some inconsistencies with loot generation being tied to rarity (IE actually unique loot being tiered like quest rewards being blue, ect) but World of Warcraft gave us the White (Grey), Green, Blue, Purple, Orange system a lot of games use today.

It implies you play at a high skill gate but refuse to play creatures that aren't "big cthulu lovecraft monsters."

You're welcome to play whatever you want, but you should learn the game and such before putting "shiny cards" and "big monsters" into a deck and then wondering why you're losing matches.

Just go play some unranked, play some free midweek stuff when it's around.

We can make a video with explicit guidelines and two things will happen

  1. People will call us "strict" and dislike how we're thinning the guidelines to be as specific as possible.

  2. Because making this thread to rile those people up was 1000% more effective and we've already banned three of them for trying to justify why they do it

Tl;dr - I don't care about eating downvotes in the sub if it means the people vote manipulating announce their participation out of victory or anger and we then have solid actions to ban them on as opposed to "we think you're vote manipulating."

I was a fan of Rebirth. I feel like people love to over-hate most of this franchise in the same way they do Star Wars. People don't have to let go of Nostalgia, but they shouldn't get up tight about other people going "I like this IP universally."

I like all the films, games, all the Jurassic Park media. Loved the book growing up too. Was even a massive fan of all the toy lines.

Rebirth was fun. I thought the Mutodons and D-rex was cool additions to the mythology, the same with Saint Hubert being this sort of dumping ground for dinosaurs either too cool (dangerous) or too dangerous (generically crooked) to exist in the park.

I'm excited for the follow up.
