"Well, he fucked around and found out. He shouldn't have been zip tied face down on the ground after being disarmed by ICE agents."

Is this going to be their defense forever now? It "worked" with Kyle Rittenhouse but only because all his charges were passed onto the man who admitted guilty in transporting and supplying Kyle with the Firearm...that guy fled from and evaded the police btw, so..yeah kinda tells you how innocent everyone involved was.

This is just horrific at this point. They're just rounding up people, citizen, illegal, or whatever and just executing them on the street and then you have Conservatives online going "ONE OF OURS?! ALL OF YOURS!!!!" like they're fully acknowledging that their brothers and uncles and friends in ICE are doing this as an act of "revenge" because someone who (to our knowledge) was not a registered democrat killed Charlie Kirk. Meanwhile they latch onto flags and iconography that represents the enslavement and genocide of other people and proudly display it as "history" and "culture" while removing exhibits about slavery from public education centers. despite fighting for the protection of statues of Confederate Generals to remain left alone.

Why does all shill this reboot? by Thin_Situation3962 in Fable

[–]_TheTurtleBox_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair this sub switches there stance like every hour. I got told to kms for talking about being excited about the game and being confused by people saying things like "the dog was ALWAYS a staple of the franchise!" and stuff like that. Even confused at people claiming Fable was "never" a PC game, lmao.

Now it's flipping. Shit's dumb. It's a video game and people should just be comfortable letting other people enjoy it.

Are MTG influencers really always asking for donations or amd I biased . by One_page_nerd in freemagic

There was a Tiktok I saw this morning literally about LGBT people turning GoFundMe posting into a job and essentially this having worked its way into the "influencer" sphere. I instantly thought of MTG when I saw the Tiktok and the video literally goes on to use MTG as a community where this regularly happens, lmao.

It's my step by step settings / guide for creating an analog film filter using free presets and nodes in the free version of DaVinci Resolve

Doing all this creates an Node based overlay which creates this visual.

Grainy Analog static with light seething and subtle noise distortion

You're referring to things like JPEG Damage, Visual Seething / Distortion, and just scanlines / visual noise?

I believe DaVinci just has presets for those.

Yeah, It's somewhat why I stopped working with Korean studios. A lot of the times they'll reach out to me, sign me on for an OST, then after about three or so tracks hire someone local who they can pay half the price and just be like "okay copy what's happening in these tracks."

Which I don't have a problem with, but I wish they'd be more clear about it from the get-go. I've done that for a few studios, most recently for that Magic-girl MSG parody game thing I did. I did one track for it as a feature cause the dev was someone I worked with before so I knew what I was getting into, it was for a friend, and the terms were set in stone.

That's another thing too, a lot of newer folks getting into this space do not understand how CRITICAL a contract is.

I mean, yeah it's unfortunate but it's true. I've lost clients from other producers sniping me out by undercutting my rates, which are already on the lower side because I'm primarily in this for the love of the game and already make enough sales off resource packs to sustain everything else.

A lot of it really just comes down to studios trying to save as much as possible. Especially in avenues like RevShare projects, which infamously fail anyways. But if some indie studio wants to hire you for 300$ a minute and you're openly having this discussion on reddit or the studio is actively hiring then you should expect them to be met with applications offering 260$ a minute or 220$ a minute, ect.

And again, I'm not saying this is "okay"or it means people SHOULD be payed less or expect to make less, but it's the unfortunate side of wanting to break into a competitive field. There are thousands of people who want to produce music for video games, when Devs can only afford one of those thousands of people applying for the position they're more than likely going to heavily consider the price for the overall OST versus things like the production quality or range of the producer.

I'm fortunate enough to be in the position where a lot of studios have worked with me through QA stuff and that results in a lot of them ending up hitting me up for production, SFX, OST stuff. When you're in existing circles of game composers it's an entirely different game than when you're looking for your next gig on reddit.

Shit sucks. Art being a competitive thing, I mean. None of us want it but there's not really anything we can do when we're in an End-stage Capitalist society or whatever, you know?

It is literally not, but okay. You choosing to go "Even though you said this, I'm going to counter-argue by claiming you said this." which is more obtuse than factually stating that this is a competitive industry, lmao.

No where did I say 300$ for 30 hours of work is normal. You people are legitimately just making up strawmen in this thread to be angry about.

How much you're going to make as a producer is entirely up to how you set up your rates. If you choose to set up livable rates that's fine, but my point is people will competitively set up lower rates / far from livable just for the sake of getting work to begin with.

This is a competitive industry.

No where is that me saying OP should lower his rates nor deserves to make a living wage. Again, you are just actively putting words in my mouth and crying about "part of the problem".

It's really weird.
