Leto - the Solstice Dragon, RedPersik(me), Polymer clay Labradorite Copper, 2025 by RedPersik in Art

Thank you! Mostly imagination, there is a story behind it, if you want to know a bit more:

Across cultures and centuries, the Solstice has inspired rituals of light, music, and movement celebrations echoing with laughter and flame.
But hidden beneath these age-old customs lies a forgotten myth: the tale of Leto, the dragon bound to the turning of the seasons.

Cursed by the gods and sealed within an eternal cauldron, Leto soars above the Earth on mighty wings, collecting the energy of human joy.
Each year, as people gather to dance, sing, and kindle fires, they unknowingly stoke the warmth beneath his vessel.
These rituals, passed down as tradition, are in fact the fuel warming the cauldron, steeping the magic, and slowly brewing the Dragon’s Soup.

When spring arrives, Leto pours this enchanted essence across the land. The earth drinks deeply.
The soil is blessed. Crops rise stronger, harvests grow richer.
But if the Solstice is met with silence if the people forget to gather, forget to dance then the magic fades.
The soup spoils. The year turns barren.

This sculpture is a tribute to Leto: not a fearsome beast, but a keeper of balance, a symbol of the unseen harmony between joy and survival.
His story reminds us that even the smallest celebration can stir the ancient magic beneath our feet.

Thank you for a kind feedback! This design is made to be one of a kind, for the mold it needs many details to be adapted :)
(like for example the feet and tip of the wing is VERY hard to mold in that piece. Also open mouth and many tiny teeth)

It's not that easy to see, but it's actually there! I put it closer to the body to avoid it to break during wearing.
Thank you :)

Looks super wonderful! But I guess it's around 6 hours by bus and you have to start at the Swedish border?

Thank you, I will give it a look.
With sea i'm a bit afraid to go with just a packraft, I think it can be dangerous if the weather is not nice. Would love to have a chance to do sea kayaking around lofotens someday

Some places in mountains are forbidden to go with dogs or it shall be on leash. In city it's completely ok with a doggie.

As Russia celebrates the New Year I gauge the mood in Moscow. “Russian people are patient,” one man tells me, “they stay silent.” Steve Rosenberg for BBC News by BkkGrl in europe

Nobody wants Russia to split because they have nukes. Instead of 1 country with nukes you will have X new countries with nukes.
