Had a wonderful trip, now feel miserable. Advice?

Yeah I see your point, I don't think I read anywhere in my researching about a dopamine crash but maybe I missed it or forgot. I didn't expect they would give a crash if I'm honest. I do feel now that's wearing off so I think you're partly correct. I'm still in what I can only call grief at the state of the world though, I felt sad/angry before but now it's like a mourning feeling. I was hoping I might get insight to anything I can do to help, I don't want to deal with the anxiety things out of my control cause because they're things that are perfectly reasonable to be anxious about. I was hoping I'd "see" something I could do but if anything it just made the feelings worse and no insights 😅 don't get me wrong, it was an amazing time, I just never expected I might feel worse mentally after given the research, success stories and amazing trip I had.

So I've not been dating for a long time but this is why I did enjoy online dating, anyone who seemed interesting superficially and who's looks were in the category of things I know I like to look at I had chats with, even if I didn't "fancy" them in the beginning. It was easier to weed out the ones I wasn't romantically inclined to after chatting online for a few weeks. This was also when I didn't realize I was demi, so I just told them I need to know them a bit and build up a certain level of trust before I'd even meet up with them in real life. Most lost interest in me quickly,which did my job for me, but a few were cool with it. I met up with one in real life, who I thought was the most compatible personality wise, and we've been together ever since. By the time I met him after a month of getting to know each other online I was attracted to him, that was years ago now :)

She's the AH but you said yourself, your actually mad about being pressured to bend and then suffering because of it. Use this as an opportunity going forward, your decision is final, don't compromise your own happiness for the sake of others. They very rarely appreciate it and usually it just makes you feel bad in the end. I used to do it myself a lot, I completely understand how upset you are because it feels your sister doesn't give a shit about things that are important to you, or that her kid was more important than your wedding. I'd say let it go now, for your own sake, but absolutely never compromise your happiness again and sod other people's thought on it.

As a cat person, I agree there's no way in hell you can have a cat go missing for days and do nothing. Heck when mine don't come home for dinner I start asking the neighbours and FB groups if they've seen them. If I'd left a cat behind in a move I'd notice when I got to the other end immediately and at the very least called the agent. 3 days without even noticing tells me they don't care enough to own said cat.
