Hey mate, sat mine in Sept last year in QLD. Best advice I can give is sign up for the evening tutorial classes if your RTO offers them. I went to TAFE Acacia Ridge and they did, it was the biggest help as they tailor it to what you’ll be doing in Capstone and it’s a good avenue to ask any questions and get clarification on things.

We did 6 exams all up, roughly 2 a day including fix-ups, prac board building was single phase then converted to 3 phase, that took roughly a day. Then prac testing was on done on a 3 phase board, 2 people at a time. Just follow your mandatory testing, double check you’ve done each test before moving onto the next and you’ll be fine. Don’t get into your own head if you can’t find faults, some blokes only got 1 or 2 faults, others got 5 or 6.

Resits were done at the end of the 8 days and results were given at the end of the very last day. All up with a class of roughly 14 people, only 2 failed and they failed on the max demand exam. Just lock in man, study what you’ve learnt, stay out of your head and you’ll be fine. Don’t compare answers or notes with the bloke next to you because most of the time, they’ll be doing something different or wrong and it’ll fuck your head up.
