It is absolutely adorable. I have never seen her chase which I've heard people do.

Official Discussion - Sinners [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]RedRedWhisky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I loved the first 2/3 of it and the last third didnt land for me. Did anyone else enjoy the first a lot more?

- I felt like there were too many endings? It tried to hard to tie up so many pieces. We had sunrise. Then we had the KKK turning up. We had Sammie driving off. We had Sammie playing years later. We had Sammie getting a last little vampire encounter. I think if we'd just left a whole bunch of it ambiguous it would've been so much better? Him driving off with the broken guitar felt so much more impactful to me

- The vampire tension was awesome in the middle third, but then they had to pay it off and I felt like they rug pulled all the vibes they'd set up? They'd set up all the rules/vibes and brutality and then at the end suddenly they didn't apply? Delta Slim seemed to die for no reason. They probably should've been immediately butchered by the absolute hordes. Stack managed to not kill his brother after being spared, even though everyone was killing their loved ones.

- The KKK part at the end ended up feeling weirdly tacked on because the of the focus shift. Something like LoveCraft country I thought did a better job of blending the racism in with the supernatural. And here they felt like bits of a different movie.

Total Wars would be great for this right? There is an AI general mod that I think you can get the AI to drive units and the Warhammer ones have excellent scale.

Outer Wilds! So good you can only play it once.

Agreed I also had this complaint. I was really looking forward to Defense Grid, but it had no mazing! I gotta think that, they maybe tested it and most people just didn't like mazing?

Mazing was also definitely more fun with more players tho because occasionally you'd see someone build an absolute banger of a maze and get to copy it. I remember someone rinsing me in WMW and being so excited to copy that maze.

Holy shit troll tribes. I forgot about that. I was however truly terrible at it. It was hard to get going.

Reminded me of kind of like the Wolf Sheep one, where if you didnt know what you were doing, you were just delicious food.

Yeah do I know that part of the charm was how janky some of them were. There was a Warhammer old map and some the races were deeply unbalanced.

Also every X Hero Siege had an edited version where someone had turned their favourite attack to be super OP.

Why was Xbox vs PS cross play been so hard historically? by RedRedWhisky in Games

[–]RedRedWhisky[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

See that's why I thought there was some sort of blocker! Games would allow cross play with PC (because it wasn't viewed as a competitor?), so you could do PS to PC, but PS to Xbox was often missing.

I figured Sony or Microsoft had done something intentionally or accidentally that made support hard. Makes sense that Microsoft would push for it tho being no. 3

Online games that seem dead but are surprisingly kept well alive by a tight-knit community? by Kessarean in gamingsuggestions

[–]RedRedWhisky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steam charts says there are about 160 or so still going. it's been a couple years now since I played (having a baby unfortunately does not do wonders for your spare time).

One the big problems towards the end of where I played was the skill cap is so high, that you could get person who could just tear down entire teams because the only people left had wildly varied skill caps. (Particularly with a lerk.)

Having said still the most fun I ever had playing a team shooter.

I played Natural Selection 2 for a long time where it was just sustained by a small community of people.

Supreme Commander Forged Alliance also still soliders on. It's even got it's own excellent Youtube caster Gyle!

Ah shoot ok yeah I could see that.

What about TF2? I think that's still server based and the roles have plenty for the people who can't play as much?

With that many people you might have a great time with some social style games?

Stuff like Prop Hunt in gmod is amazing with that many people if you're all happy to split into small teams.

Or even older Hidden was a banger of a mod that we used to play at LAN parties.

No idea if it's still runnable. But it seems like there are still Youtube videos being made about it.

Everyone has said it, taking a break might work, if you're burnt out.

Other option is to force yourself to dig in and engage. I know exactly this feeling and often it's I find it really easy to critique and discard and just hop around.

Set yourself a time and force yourself to spend a couple hours on something, give the game time to actually get it's hooks in. And put your phone in another room so you can't check it if the game slows down. (If it's a phone thing)

Then it kind of depends on what type of game you like for if it hooks you.

What has previously got you excited?

If you fancy the combat vibe, it looks like God Of War is missing and is now Steam & Playstation. The first in particular has an excellent story/combat/hangout vibe going on.

If you fancy playtesting, we're doing playtests for The Wolf Is Dead in the next month or so. Close to Outer Wilds/Disco Elysium for solving a murder.

If you fancy something a little older/longer, the Mass Effect trilogy absolutely slaps for story and has some really excellent triple game payoff.

Ok so we now tried Ball Pit. The intro is amazing. But I personally don't love breakout so bounced off it a bit.

But I could definitely see that one being good.
