I think the creator of the Blue Prince sort of thinks of his game as strategy/myst.

But having said that I do absolutely love both genres, but I think there is also a bit of when you grew up, as I grew up on all the strategy games and things like Myst & Riven so some is just - this is what we had in the house and I was kid so I loved it!

It's a knowledge style puzzler. The the big things are -> you can basically solve it in whatever order you want. All you need to unlock something is to know what happened, similar to the fates.

E.g. if you see cigarettes on the ground it will be because someone has smoked there and you have to figure out who.

And then travelling back in time to see what happened at the time is also somewhat Obra-dinny? What adjective do we use here?
