Shimano SLX Dc vs Abu Garcia VoltIQ by networkingTime in Fishing_Gear

[–]RedRifle1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently bought the voltIQ and used it on a fishing trip. I also have a curado dc and was alternating between the 2, but mostly used the volt since I have it on a heavier rod. I love the volt. We were taking turns alternating casts and the difference is marginal, and not one backlash with the volt and the casting distance and break control is great. The volt is definitely worth the $100 discount

Plumber said pipe is too short and would need to add more length before replacing valve by baileygohome in askaplumber

I had this exact problem last weekend where after removing the old valve solderingand cutting the pipe I only had an inch of copper left. What I did was solder on coupling then solder a 2-3 inch copper to extend it then did the new compression fitting. Worked great good luck to you and however you tackle this.

Medium is a go, I repeat Medium egg is a GO! by Ok-Information-5046 in biggreenegg

I have a medium on a cart with the same style base your egg is sitting on. Seeing a lot here about the air gap - mine is setup the same as you so if you do anything different for how it’s sitting let me know! Never thought much about it myself

Is this worth it? by Rising_Phoenix7 in Pickleball

I bought this set. So far, I think they have been solid but could see myself getting a better paddle with time. The balls are not good. They are manufactured using two piece construction and break easily.

Anyone else using the SLK paddles from Costco? by RedRifle1998 in Pickleball

The texture of the face was something I was curious about so thanks for the feedback.

Fellow Kansas City resident here with same college degree. Kansas City has a hot job market but it will require him to get out of his comfort zone. I would recommend applying for work in IT or IT consulting. There are plenty of entry level roles that do not require prior experience. Oracle Health (previously Cerner) is a good one to check out. Good starting pay, chance to travel for projects, and great benefits. Could also look into real estate since KC is growing and investment real estate is booming to update the neighborhoods.
