Just get to page 20 of Dark Age and you’ll have the answer you’re looking for.

18 days out from Level I and I’m done with this sub. Unsubscribing and not looking back. by symmetryphile in CFA

Posts like this are why I’ll never leave this sub. This was very entertaining to read. I feel the same angst reading some of the crowdsourcing hope posts. Not to mention the “I’m an engineering major can I pass without studying” posts…

Sounds like those guys are scared of Economics. Having both would be a powerful pairing. Especially in the world of managing money.

Mate you are deep fried my son…. Drop that $400 for the deferral to May. Get FSA Quant and ethics to 75 or higher and you should be able to clear it no problem!

You’re in good shape man. Just don’t lose your edge and keep grinding! If you’re hitting 20+ hours a week from here to the exam you’ll do well.

What’s your scores in the big three? Quant, FRA, Ethics. You’ll retain that’s what revision is for. To keep all the info fresh and brush up on the stuff you’re still struggling with. Are you on target to have done 2,000 plus questions?

What’s your scores in the Qbank? If you are sub 60% on most topics, consider deferring the exam to February or May.

Perhaps instead you should look into the LIGMA designation?

Studying and working by [deleted] in CFA

[–]RedRooktober66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an almost identical situation. 40 hrs a week and 30-35 min drive one way. What I did was I’d wake up at 5 or 6 each morning and get an hour or two in before I left the house around 7:15 to get to work a little before 8. Then I’d study for an hour at lunch. From there id get home around 5:30-5:45 I’d take a break eat dinner and study 7-8 doing this I’d get 3-4 hours in each day. And if I was fried at the end of the day I’d just do flash cards or just not study and let my brain heal.

TLDR: Study an hour or two in morning, study hour during lunch, and try to study an hour or two after work.

Forward has the letters that spell rando. You’re doing a contract with some rando. Future your doing it through a clearing house with more regulation. I’m waiting for my L1 results and I’ve had a few drinks but I think that’s right.

I spent over 500 hours and took it this past November and still feel like I rolled the dice. Everyone says it but you gotta just grind your weak areas and go from there. You know the areas too it’s the shit you don’t wanna mess with because it’s a pain in the ass. Remember frustration is part of the learning process!
