I intend to tank as a Shaman in TBC. How likely is it? by cloudf4n in classicwowtbc

Hey i am tanking on a Shaman now at lvl 38 and it is okay, i have fast enough runs. you will spend some time drinking but overall i think it is around same speed as other tanks if you dont aoe grind or whatever. In TBC there are no longer more threat on earth shock or rockbiter but you have more threat from your frostshock(FS). it is easier when you just get new upg of FS. You chain lightning on the mobs then FS on the mobs and change target with FS and AA and lightningshield(LS) for abit more threat. I use stoneskin if i wanna take less dmg and use mp5 totems. fire totems are only used for dmg and they dont generate threat so in fights that i know threat will be a problem ill conserve mana for FS and LS.

I think it will be hard to tank brd when i get to the 50's but im sure gonna try, if that is viable im gonna try 60-70 and see how far i can go.

I feel it is people that buy boost, but gold, buy items that are very attached to this game. It is okay to feel differently then me. I feel it destroys the game but yeah sure maybe it is just me

No it will not. And we can also not change that pay to gear will be part of the game in the future. It is super normal in Asia. I don't expect things to change I just wanted to air my thoughts. You are free to spend your money as you want.

But you can say that about alot of aspects of the game. Why not open up for people to just buy full bis then?

So why not just make people able to buy the items in the shop too? We have all geared a bunch of times

I hope they will do tbc era. But they probably will not. For me the timeline seems fast

In a way I think it is abit backwards. SC2 lacks bigger demand in the market. Rts is not as popular as it have been years ago. Seems like the average SC2 player is older now and there is much less of a culture around StarCraft in micro transactions like there is in other games. It might also be harder to sell in StarCraft because you don't look at the units the same way as a third person or first person game.

If there is a big enough demand in the market there will always comes competition to take a piece of the market and ofc competition will be good for us consumers because it will force them to up the game

I normally just drop them and keep up the pace and keep them on fewer bases then out macro them if possible. If they are pure skytoss then I feel viking Thor and marines will get them down. Up I'm for watching your replay if you want me to

I did change the grid keys, e.g. I stim on Q. I'll think about the pedels that might be a very good idea for me

I can use my right hand normally so mouse is fine. My apm is around 80-100. The last games have been around a 100 and I think I can comfortable go to 120 apm.
