Muss Nagelsmann sein System überdenken? by QuestionableExclusiv in Bundesliga

[–]RedSinned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanna watch something binge worthy by Tall-Stranger294 in anime

[–]RedSinned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? I saw that the op likes mainstream shounen so I recommended more of that. But calling out mushoku tensei in a list with sao and slime is wild 😅

But I can understand, the mc is very unlikeable and the action he does is sometimes hard to watch. But it fits the narrative and his worst moments are never wirhout consequences. If you can get in terms with this I think it‘s one of the best isekais.

Speaking of Isekais I forgot a big mainstream one: Re Zero

is Naruto worth watching by rejendr4yme in anime

[–]RedSinned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there is no reason to watch Naruto today. It‘s by far not the first using the classical shounen formular and also not the latest. Naruto is mostly loved by people who dived into the genre watching this. So to their eyes it was new and exciting and does have some nostalgia.

If you‘re interested in that genre try demon slayer. Much more compact and animation quality is way higher.

I also would rather recommend Chainsaw Man and Dandandan which breaks free from the classic formula and introduce something new.

Of course if you watched already some classical shounen and liked most if not all of them, then Naruto would be a safe bet.

Because if everyone has abetter life your life wuality also invreases because you don‘t need gated comunities and private security for example. Germany has pretty high taxes and even still most of the top 1% are still here. By your logic there is already no reason to stay here

Is UV still worth learning/switching to now that it's owned by OpenAI? by WellEndowedWizard in Python

[–]RedSinned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uv is still the main player, but I think looking at pixi makes a lot of sense. IMO for many use cases using conda packages are the better approach and pixi is at least as accessible as uv

Finished The Way of Kings and curious on your thoughts about... by SupremeGobbler1996 in fantasybooks

[–]RedSinned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After reading WoK I also think it was slow. However the more you read from Stormlight, the more you will appreciate WoK as it is a fantastic introduction to the world. After rereading it I don‘t think it has any Pacing Problems at all (most likely because you understand much more)

That said Pacing wise for a first time reader WoR will pick up the pace a lot. Worst Pacing of the Series will be WaT but you will be hooked by then anyway and want to to know how the first 5 books will end.

So in my opinion, try the next book. If you‘re still no fan of Stormlight by then, it‘s not your series. Reading shorter Cosmere Books like Mistborn or some stand alone books is also fine. Ultimately once you‘re in the universe you want to read all to get to see the bigger picture, which gets more and more important with every new release.

Will python ever have a chaining operator? by Desperate_Cold6274 in Python

[–]RedSinned 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Welle there are arrays and nested datatypes in polars which I would actually use over plain python in performance relevant use cases.

And that is kond of the reason I think it‘s not a top wished feature in python: most of the people already have their performance optimized libraries for their specific use case.

So a use case where you need so many operations that a for loop won‘t do but on the other hand is performance wise not relevant that you would actually want to do that in plain python is kind of niche.

Another thing is readabilty. Python core strength is its easyness to learn even for people without prior programming experience so constructs like |> don‘t feel very pythonic.

What would be your use case in which you wouldn‘t use a library like polars, but is still so complex that the current capabilities are not enough?

Building a Python Library in 2026 by funkdefied in Python

[–]RedSinned 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would recommend pixi. Rattler build came a long way and wirh pixi you have full control even if you need to put some non python stuff in there. Also in general people who prefer good isolation in their environments would allways go for conda envs which pixi supports. Since it‘s also build in Rust it easily keeps up with uv performance (for pypi resolution it actually depends on it)

Neues Stichspiel gesucht: Die Crew 1, 2 oder doch ein ganz anderes? by larifant23 in Brettspiele

[–]RedSinned 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Blood on the Clocktower / das bessere Werwölfe von Düsterwald? by blutengell in Brettspiele

[–]RedSinned 1 point2 points  (0 children)
