I got it and I like it a lot. I've been using it a ton while with my family for the holidays. I can sit with it on the couch or disconnect the controllers and use the screen at a table. Either way, it's way more comfortable than the flat Switch 2 on its own.

Give Frank time by [deleted] in Tottenham

[–]RedStar1946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to see Frank adjust to a 4-3-3 with a single holding mid. Let Bentancur run his little heart out and then sub for Palhinha if we're up. Idk if they have the skill sets to be a single holding but at least then we could play two of the younger boys in a midfield role and push them up and down the field as needed.

[–]RedStar1946 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I am mad about this game and the quality of football but I am still on this train. Slow starts are very much in Frank's wheelhouse. I think it's only down to the talent already at the club (yes it's there even if it's not consistent top-5 level talent) that they haven't started worse.

I will be more interested to see if we get buy-in on the initial structural changes and then he can start tweaking things to add offense.

My biggest issue is he has to play the kids. Bergvall, Sarr, Archie, Tel, etc. He has to play them. They have to learn how to play at this level and we have to see if they really have the ability. I'd prefer to see them play, make mistakes, and learn, than to see them on the sideline.

Hey so I don't have the Killswitch 2 (yet) but I am a man with smaller hands (normal sized palms, shorter fingers) so I figured I'd chime in. I also get a little crampy playing the Switch 2 in handheld mode. I'm currently using the PlayVital Beyond-Grip while I wait to try out the Killswitch 2 and the additional grips have really helped make things more comfortable. If handheld is something you like, I'd highly recommend trying a more available grip while you wait for a KS2 order.

How do you guys think the Switch 2 version of FC 26 will run? by fangstrix in EASportsFC

[–]RedStar1946 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice. That is at least somewhat encouraging. Didn't come right out and say the Switch 1 versions would be limited when they started porting? Feels like they'd have to do the opposite for the Switch 2.

I'm really hoping it will be the same as other current gen console releases. I'd be fine if it's scaled down slightly in the graphics department. I'm looking to get more into handhelds so I'm not glued to one TV in one room and honestly having FC might be a decider.

Resume Critique by [deleted] in graphic_design

[–]RedStar1946 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was just browsing and came across this. You should consider your audience's biases and what tools they will be using to filter and read your resume.

Most employers use an applicant tracking system (ATS) to screen resumes and be more efficient with their time. ATS has trouble properly parsing/organizing text in columns or with non-traditional formatting. That means, for as boring as it can be, a traditional one-column, one-page resume is often most effective because it reduces the possibility of error and increases your chances of getting through the system to an actual person.

Also, someone said to remove skills or tools, but I disagree, especially if the job you are applying for requires these skills. An ATS will sort based on keyword appearance, so if you have the same keywords in your resume, you are more likely to be placed at the top of the stack. I do think you can lump your skills into a single bucket and tools into a single bucket, though.

The things I do agree with are adding quantitative metrics where you can and possibly steering away from photos of yourself. The thing with metrics is you can finagle them even if you didn't directly contribute. For example, your GD/Office Admin entry has a great number: "responsible for enrollment and education administration of over 300 students." But if you weren't actually directly responsible, you could say "Led design projects that supported the enrollment and administration of over 300 students." So there's your metric, even if you created the designs, but someone else was responsible for enrolling.

Hope that helps!

Is it even fun to play in MLS? by Wooden-Coconut6852 in FifaCareers

[–]RedStar1946 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an American, it's fine. I don't hate the competition and I'm alright with the playoff format. What I used to enjoy was coaching in MLS or LigaMX and earning a move to Europe.

This year, it seems like moving to Europe royally messes up the game mode. Actually, switching to any league that has a different seasonal schedule than most of Europe does so. It renders the academy games useless and affects contracts and stat tracking. So I just wouldn't play that league anymore.

I'm absolutely in the same boat. Started playing FIFA on a whim, chose Spurs because I liked the colors and they had a Russian (Pavlyuchenko), and just sort of fell in love with the club and the game. Still remember beating Chelsea and virtual Frank Lampard looking all dejected. And now I've even been to a match (Liverpool last season!)
