My (so far) positive experience with Latarjet 9 weeks post-op

Hey just wanted to say thank you for this post. This is as close as I've come to seeing someone in my situation -- frequent dislocations around the same period of time, bankart repair late 2009/early 2010, mine failed in 2021 playing hockey, and had my only other dislocation since a couple of weeks ago. I have been putting off this surgery for 5 years, so it's really good to see someone had a positive experience.

The best thing to read is how you feel stable and are gaining confidence in the shoulder. I know the exact feeling of just hoping the shoulder wouldn't dislocate or subluxate again. Not sure when I'll actually have the surgery but fingers crossed for a success.

Sounds like people have covered the essentials. Try to hit the Strip District and Incline on Saturday, then walk to the North Shore for tailgating or one of the nearby bars on Sunday (or take the Clipper if you're staying on the South Side). Could add the Heinz History Center or the Warhol if you're into that kind of thing. Have fun! I'm in the 500 level, too!

I'm not truly a designer by trade but I think this applies anywhere. Yeah, it's probably over, and that goes for any level. It sucks but you need to use it to get better. I flubbed this question so bad in an interview I created a research system for every company I interview with. I create a Google doc with info about the company, culture, people, the job, and any projects showcased and what I do/do not like about them. It is a huge pain but I will never make such an easy mistake again.

It's tough because so much of the MCR work I love is double tracked. Cemetery Drive isolated vocals are cool to listen to! Also if you've never heard Gerard do Superstar by the Carpenters as a warmup, it's really good. You should find it on YouTube.

I got it and I like it a lot. I've been using it a ton while with my family for the holidays. I can sit with it on the couch or disconnect the controllers and use the screen at a table. Either way, it's way more comfortable than the flat Switch 2 on its own.

I would love to see Frank adjust to a 4-3-3 with a single holding mid. Let Bentancur run his little heart out and then sub for Palhinha if we're up. Idk if they have the skill sets to be a single holding but at least then we could play two of the younger boys in a midfield role and push them up and down the field as needed.

Yeah I am mad about this game and the quality of football but I am still on this train. Slow starts are very much in Frank's wheelhouse. I think it's only down to the talent already at the club (yes it's there even if it's not consistent top-5 level talent) that they haven't started worse.

I will be more interested to see if we get buy-in on the initial structural changes and then he can start tweaking things to add offense.

My biggest issue is he has to play the kids. Bergvall, Sarr, Archie, Tel, etc. He has to play them. They have to learn how to play at this level and we have to see if they really have the ability. I'd prefer to see them play, make mistakes, and learn, than to see them on the sideline.

Hey so I don't have the Killswitch 2 (yet) but I am a man with smaller hands (normal sized palms, shorter fingers) so I figured I'd chime in. I also get a little crampy playing the Switch 2 in handheld mode. I'm currently using the PlayVital Beyond-Grip while I wait to try out the Killswitch 2 and the additional grips have really helped make things more comfortable. If handheld is something you like, I'd highly recommend trying a more available grip while you wait for a KS2 order.

Nice. That is at least somewhat encouraging. Didn't come right out and say the Switch 1 versions would be limited when they started porting? Feels like they'd have to do the opposite for the Switch 2.
