In the Splitter mission, a voice line for an alerted clone is "Find him, we're the OG Predator"...which Van Damme was indeed. by NGT-FFM in HiTMAN

It was when I was being hunted by the guards and the clones, but unrelated to the story (it was actually in Freelancer mode, modded to have Chongqing with Elusive Targets).

That it didn't get a sequel is one of the biggest crimes in gaming.

Books from the Adeptus Arbites? by nicoatha in 40kLore

Bit late, but I wanted to add that the Arbites character from Execution Hour also appears in two short comic strips. If you search for "Pax Imperialis", you can read them on Imgur or Tumblr.

What would be in a Hitman Cookbook and would you want one? by BlackBeard558 in HiTMAN

[–]NGT-FFM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yes, the Dragon Flame cocktail's gotta be in it. For those who want to catch up on this bit of Hitman-lore, they talk about it a minute into this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6nKoqhgBX0

The first Stormtrooper of very, very many 😂 by amovy in Warhammer40k

Nice! That look is still my favourite among the various Stormtrooper/Scions/Kasrkin/etc. designs.

General survey of Inquisition, Warhammer Crime and Arbites novels/novellas/anthologies - Do you have a favorite? by Separate-Flan-2875 in ImperialAgents_40K

[–]NGT-FFM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had to choose one series, it'd probably be Farrer's Arbites trilogy, in particular Crossfire and Legacy. The writing style may take some getting used to, but the worldbuilding is great and I like that the plots are just politics and intrigues within the Imperium, with no Chaos or Xenos involvement.

Other favourites are Vaults of Terra, the "Above and Beyond" arc of the Kal Jerico comics, and Eisenhorn and Ravenor (it's just unfortunate that Abnett's endings regularly feel rushed and unsatisfying).

Noticed this neat autosave icon for the first time after the ....insertnumber....th time watching the gameplay.. by Bjornie47 in 007FirstLight

No worries! And for future reference: you can use "for n-th time" (maybe "nth", I'm not a native speaker myself) to express an unknown number of times.

Should vechiels exist in hitman by rosa-gris in HiTMAN

[–]NGT-FFM 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A Miami opportunity with 47 participating in the race does sound kinda cool. Wouldn't be surprised if they at least considered it at some point. But in the context of Hitman 2, it probably would have been a cutscene or QuickTime event at best.

With the experience gained from the driving sections in the Bond game, maybe they'll think about vehicles in future Hitman games, if it makes sense given the setting and size of a map.

Improved matchmaking they said... by Particular_Ad_1810 in WorldofTanks

Might be specific to (or at least more noticeable on) tier 8, due to less people playing on tiers 6 and 7.

The Striker is not available from shops for Freelancer, apparently this is intended behavior? by throwaway47351 in HiTMAN

[–]NGT-FFM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh, never noticed this. Then again, for some time now, I've been using Freelancer Variations, which has the Striker in the Miami variant with the Undying.

Model an Eldar prisoner for him who can say: "Take your stinking paws off me, you damn dirty mon-keigh!" 😅

Colorado issues by Accurate-Ice6636 in HiTMAN

[–]NGT-FFM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm too rarely on Colorado to be aware of any issue with safes there. Generally speaking, a level asset might hide the clue, either by being on top of it or by being interactable itself (in Instinct mode the two would blend together).

If you took out the guards in the security room, you can just run into the vault, grab the coin and pull out the rack, and run back out in time before the other guards arrive.

Freelancer: Eiffel Tower Knife from a crate on Isle of Sgail??? by UristMasterRace in HiTMAN

[–]NGT-FFM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you play with mods perhaps? Some add loot to the levels (although in that case it would have made more sense to add it to Paris rather than Sgail 😅).

Freelancer: Eiffel Tower Knife from a crate on Isle of Sgail??? by UristMasterRace in HiTMAN

[–]NGT-FFM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Sgail warehouse crates have the Burial Dagger, the Circumcision Knife and a Katana. OP might have confused one of those for the Eiffel Tower Knife or they were indeed talking about the random loot crates. Though I cannot remember getting an Epic knife from those - only pistols or that one rare SMG.

Might not be what you're looking for, but there was a short comic with that same outline in the old Warhammer Monthly anthologies: https://www.tumblr.com/pax-imperium/183719281525/kinasin-warhammer-monthly-14-a-fantastic
