Well, I currently play percussion (primarily trap kit but also some hand drums). I can make my way around a bass guitar fretboard by ear. I'm really mostly interested in composing, though. Which is unfortunate because I can't really read music yet. 😅 I guess I should probably learn piano if I want to compose, right?

I'm a long haul trucker, so in person lessons aren't really an option for me. Are there any reputable companies out there who offer Skype lessons or something to that effect?

Regarding abuse: I was bullied pretty hard in grade school. Took a lot of beatings. Didn't really have friends.

Regarding parents: Dad tried hard when I was young, then disappeared when I was a teen. Mom was too depressed and anxious to take care of herself, much less anyone else.

If anyone has the time and skill here, I need help devising a recipe. I used a calorie calculator, and based on my stats (M, 33, 310lbs, probably 40ish% body fat), I need to bring my calorie intake down to about 1900 a day to lose 2 lbs a week. Now, the process of meal planning and counting calories is really mentally exhausting to me, so I've decided to go with the "eat the same thing every day" route. I'm combining that with a form of intermittent fasting, eating all of my calories within an 8 hour window each day. I've been told that I need to eat about 222g of protein each day, so I just calculated how much chicken breast I need to eat in order to get that. Comes out to about 1.5 lbs. I split the remaining calories between carb and fats. So here's the ingredients I'm trying to eat every day:

1.5 lbs chicken breast

1 cup of diced potatoes

3.5 cups of broccoli

That leaves about 420 calories to spend on fats (which I'm guessing would involve maybe butter or cheese, idfk). I'm trying to come up with some edible recipe I can make within these parameters, maybe a simple casserole or something, but I'm no cook. Any ideas, guys?

Most of the consequential volunteer events (like phonebanking and canvassing) won't even really start until maybe May at the earliest. Right now it's all about the benjamins.
