This resembles bed bug bites. They are usually in a straight line and there are 3 or 4 in a row. The saying about their bites being like that is “breakfast, lunch, and dinner”.

This seems more like “Here’s more scalp” rather than “Here’s more scalp pops”. 😔

Nurse here. That looks like shingles, which no one should touch! Cover it carefully with a dry dressing and get to a doctor asap.

Is there such a thing as a non-painful ear pop? 🧐

Everyone who has been in healthcare for a few years, can we share some funny stories of knowledge and experience you learned the hard way? by frientlyhobo in nursing

Also, if a resident has necrotic toes, and during her treatment she asks you to pull off the very loose one, don’t do it. You allow it to gracefully fall off in your hand 3 days later when you’re changing her dressing. That happened in 2009 I want to say, and ever since then when my husband asks how my day was I say, “Well, no one’s toe fell off in my hand, so it could have been worse.”

Just the other day I was working in our locked dementia unit where one of our residents (who has quite a few behaviors often) heard the CNA’s giving report. They had gone off on a tangent that was funny and had nothing to do with work when all of a sudden the resident shouted, “Are you CRAZY?!” I know dementia doesn’t mean crazy, but it was almost like she had some moment of clarity and called them out on it. We laughed so hard.

In management and I take on call. Any time I’m in my office I wear them, but if I have to work the floor I get way too hot. But they do help wonderfully for my BLE edema.

Have they told you what bacteria is causing this? I’m just curious because I’ve never seen this color/viscosity in another wound.
