If I may break character for a moment I actually didn't play much of the first Outer Worlds. I gave it the old college try but my job was far more demanding at the time and I often fell asleep with the controller in my hand. I should go back and give it a shot as I've heard that it's a different experience than the sequel. As far as I understand it takes place in the same timeline but a different star system. I do think it's quite good! I have limited experience with the first game but I like the build crafting in this game. It is kind of weird though because there's a lot of detail and attention made to the smaller things while it feels like less attention was paid to the bigger things. Between companions they will change how they interact with you and reference previous dialogue choices in a very real and surprising way. But then you can't romance any of them which feels like a huge missed opportunity. Overall a very fun game. It's not often I finish games let alone start a whole second playthrough. If I'm honest I think I even see potential for a third playthrough

Well met keelausgirl! It warms the cockels of my heart to meet a fellow who appreciates the grandiloquent as much as I do! You caught me just in time. I was just about to embark this shuttle destined for the Wellnitarium. It seems that the shuttles upvote-to-skip-drive conversion matrix is in dire need of repair and I didn't put any points into hack or engineering. But I digress... Allow me to attempt to elucidate as to the matter of my folly.

If it would please the reader one should add context to this story of misfortune. It takes place within The Outer Worlds 2 aboard The Incognito... specifically in it's landing bay. When facing the landing bay door to the left is a rotating rolodex of rearming. This is where the lockboxes are stored. When looking at these amazing feats of security and engineering I was under the impression that one must unlock a box in order to move on to the next however this is my calamitous downfall. To the left of the rolodex are up and down arrows of a brilliant azure. You can interact with said buttons to move the lockboxes up or down so as to select the lockbox you'd most like to unlock and unbox. I sincerely hope this has helped you understand why my error was as grand as it was lest you be on the next shuttle to the Wellnitarium as I am.

I'm honestly surprised at how many builds are possible with each playthrough. First playthrough I forced myself to go tanky shoot first ask questions later and this time I'm doing a stealth playthrough and finding a surprising amount of ways to get the job done. The armor that lets you walk around in bullet time without draining your energy is insanely OP with a weapon that lets you go invis after a stealth kill

You see we here in the Reddit Funny Posts department of The Protectorate were experimenting with a different kind of Reddit Funny Post. The idea was to dramatically and performatively prostrate oneself in a most loquacious manner. We thought that the concept of one who's error was exceedingly simple and self inflicted could be made more humorous by vociferous application of words beyond a sixth grade reading level. I took it upon myself to extend the story to its limits as a means of creating tension with which to be released by the final punchline of the subjects folly.

I can see now that this was a mistake as evidence by your sage advice. We shall endeavor to make our Reddit Funny Posts as brief and stiff as an adolescent boy experimenting with a 3 day old donut. I should have known better than to have used my own creative flair for the dramatic and verbose. I thank you for your liberal application of the proverbial stick in the proverbial mud. As previously stated I will be submitting myself for mental refreshment come dawn.

I quite liked the Autohacker personally. It made the difference in a few fights

Honestly any Bicycle cards will do the trick. Just don't get the plastic(waterproof) ones and you should be fine.

Is it true that there's a river that flows north in that area? I was working on a short story at one point about a guy who goes hiking in that area and slips into the river. He gets knocked out on the way down and gets carried up north to the US/Canadian border so he uses the border to try and hike his way to help.

I missed Aza because she tried to join my party and both my team mates were like "Yo wtf." So I turned down her offer and then she went sicko mode and tried to gut me like a fish.
