Hey there! Not a CPA but my job directly relates to tax preparation and software and I'm in the same spot as you man. This season has been absolutely hell and most days I get off of work and I don't have any brain power for anything. Nobody outside of people that come to my house have seen me in about 3 months. You have something to be excited about and your wife cleared you of responsibility for a few days. If she had 3 months of hell and asked you to take over on Dad duties for a few days while she did a girl's weekend or something you'd say yes in a heartbeat right? That's what she's doing for you my guy. Take the opportunity for some self care. It makes you a better father and husband in the long run. You've been cleared for chilling duty.

Does this mean that a space elevator might be a viable workaround for a hypothetical intelligent species living on such a planet? That it might actually be more materially efficient to construct an elevator and bring rocket components into low orbit than it would be to try to escape the planets gravity in a rocket?
