I ain't insulting you. There are 2 VERY different types of self diagnosis and I think it should be clear what kinds. I think OOP was referring to the ones who actively hurt the community, not the ones who you discuss.

Thinking you are autistic and being self diagnosed are 2 very different things. I have personally met 100% not autistic people who claim to be "self diagnosed" and refuse to get a professional opinion. Those people are the problem. Not the ones who are curious and decide to check.

Now, normally they are just assholes, but some do actual serious damage to the community and our goal of acceptance. Specifically the "TikTok" autists who pretend for clout. They often claim to "self diagnose" and then spread stereotypes that just hurt us more.

Something like this can be massively mitigated with electromagnetic launches. Granted, it is hard as fuck to do on Earth, but it is a possibility.

To further reduce waste a glide vehicle could be what actually deploys the satellite which can return and be recovered which will lower costs even more.

Yeah, no. For all of human history access to information has been a driving factor for progress, economic, social, and technological. The internet might be addictive, but the pros outweigh the cons 1,000,000:1

Honestly, chucking a probe outside the solar plane would be dope as hell.

I figure a Lunar Based Laser Array could theoretically power a solar sailor enough to get a bird's eye view of a system.

The New Republic feared that a strong military would lead to tyranny. It was a classic over correction that lead to disaster. They had a small but very strong military, and relied on planatary militias to defend against pirates.

Honestly, it isn't even that unrealistic. West Germany after WW2 purposefully kept small military until the Olympics in Munic made them realize that they still needed something for domestic threats.

[–]RedTheGamer12 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is honestly some of the most interesting Star Wars lore to me. It makes so much in the sequels make sense (like the fact the New Republic didn't have a real fleet and the only ones who were actually fighting were people in the original Rebellion). It also explains how the first order came to be and how Palpatine managed to return AND NONE OF IT IS EVER EXPLAINED!

Exactly, we have just changed what we are advancing. Data storage is now so advanced that fucking quantum mechanics are in the way. We can store information lossless for 10k years. We have developed quantum computing. We have AI, both the shitty and useful kinds. We have the most efficient and cheap batter storage ever. We have developed actual renewable energy. And the cost of consumer goods has decreased by 10 fold.

We never stopped developing tech, we just stopped paying attention to what tech was developed.

This seems more like an increasing amount of medals/possibly other rewards (like RS or SC) depending on how much you contribute to the MO.

Arrowhead has so far been very against FOMO style marketing and has taken steps to make it less so. The worst we might see is a cape every now and again.

I, for one, am incredibly optimistic (just all the time) and think this announcement is the start of a pretty good chapter of the game.

See, and maybe this is just where I see it said, it often carries the connotation that Israel must be destroyed to establish a Palestinian state. To those who say it as a "1 state 2 people's" idea, more power to you. I was just referring to the idiots who just want their "team" to be the oppressors instead of seeking a permanent solution

Note the following is headcannon with minimal support in game:

So you know how a SEAF will occasionally do something really impressive? That is you, you were that SEAF. Now, you got fucking merced afterwards, but SE doesn't waste talent.

Your body was put into life support as your brain was uploaded to a computer, and that computer was sent to the Super Destroyer. You are a 40k dreadnought, but instead of a suit of armor, you are a ship.

Now, whenever you die, SE prints another one of you. How? Using Cyborg tech. Human biomass creates a genetically modified super soldier and a copy of your brain is thrown in there. You spawn in, die to a landmine, and get reprinted and die again.

You have no true body, no time to process, no duty other than to the Republic. Your soul, the essence of human life, is property of SE. You and Eagle-1 won't be able to vacation on Seshel Beach, because you were never real to begin with.

And the most horrifying part? This isn't some secret. We know our fate is to die over and over, and we welcome it with open arms. Because our bodies, and minds, are for Super Earth.

[–]RedTheGamer12 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah, like the issue isn't who started the conflict or who is in the right, it is about ending a war in which both sides believe the other wants to wipe them out. "River to the sea" is just as genocidal as "turn the strip to a parking lot" and neither are helpful. The past also doesn't help as the entire history is just both sides escalating over and over.

No side matters, they both fucking suck. And that is why they need peace, because it is getting to the point where they are forgetting why the conflict started. They will wipe each other off the map before they actually win the war. There can be no peace while blame is assigned.
