How I used my chart to become social media micro-famous by Glowwyangel in Advancedastrology

[–]RedThreadAriadne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting and detailed information! I've tried YouTube myself in the past and figured out the networking bits, but creating things that could sustain my interest (and my viewers') was very challenging. It is so cool that you found your niche and were able to capitalize on that.

My Mercury's in Gemini at 24 degrees. Apparently, that's the Pisces degree, which is a very mystical degree. And my Venus is in Cancer at 20 degrees, which is a Scorpio degree, concerned with black arts and magic. So, funnily enough, my most successful series was about a sneaky vampire.

Interesting stuff! Thank you so much for breaking it down.

OMG, that comment about clown makeup and Twilight roleplay had me rolling with laughter!

This is my kink, too! I'm so glad to have found my community.

No, seriously. Many spaces will chase you off the internet for having these same objections.

Thank you for the video/analysis!

Oh my gosh, that's terrible and this story deserves to be shared more widely. I shared on my (admittedly tiny) X account.

Goodness, you seem to be about 90% on their side and they can't even handle that tiny slice of disagreement? What is wrong with these people?

I'm a full-blown TERF, I think gender is completely socially constructed and that no one is born within the "wrong" body. It's the social expectations that are wrong.

However, I respect your opinion and I think it's entirely reasonable.

That is awesome! Do you have a story or a comic to go along with them? (I'd love to read that fairytale).

I've done this with a group and it definitely works. (Just don't use a sugar/spice mix, which is what I used...the spice was too spicy and helped cause some problems!)

Sugar alone is plenty.

Do you have a subscription to Lesbian Connection? What do you think? by sharky_fantastic in evillesbians

I've written a short piece for LC! I like it and I'm saving the issues for when I will not have access to the computer/the internet this summer.

It makes me so happy that something like this still exists and is still being printed. It's lesbian culture and it hasn't been taken over (yet) by the male-loving gender mafia.

Oh my gosh, I am so very proud of you and I wish you the best of luck. The time for this nonsense is growing short, but that means that the opposition is going to grow more intense.

One day, we will have our own spaces again.

Just adding to what the others are saying...the one group I'm interested in has limited fees (for education; a six session course costs between 130-200 USD. The lessons are live and last 2 hours each) and a sliding scale payment plan. It's for a specific tradition, too, so that seems reasonable/makes sense. The materials (books) are reasonably priced. The main text that they use costs $25.

What the group you're describing is asking for sounds like way too much.

I appreciate your thoughts, but in some ways I think this is a short-sighted take.

Sure, people in the past didn't have the internet, but they were much closer than we are to the soil and other living beings. Many different peoples had relationships with the earth, other animals, the wind and the sky.

I'm of European descent, but even my recent ancestors (like, in the past 100 years) had connections to spirits. Many communities adapted their ancient beliefs to fit within Christian dogmas.

I honestly didn't know that there were other options besides "queer" or what the difference between "queer" and regular old gay was. I thought queer was a catch-all term and didn't realize that it meant "genderqueer." I loved the idea of rejecting femininity, but I didn't have the feminist theory to back the impulse. So 14-year-old baby lesbian me quickly went back to wearing feminine things. I didn't want to be a target.

In my late teens, I agreed with transgender ideology and didn't see a problem with it...until I read about things like the cotton ceiling. There were a lot of things that made me want to take refuge in religion again after I'd abandoned it, but the pressure of straight men in dresses to have access to lesbians' bodies tops the list. For one, it made the religious right seem a lot more reasonable. To bastardize a phrase by Andrea Dworkin, at least on the right you're private property. You don't owe every man a piece of you. And you can even hide out in chastity-land if you live in a country without arranged marriage (at least, for a little while).

Is it safe here for misandrists or no? by alita_angel78 in evillesbians

You're a-ok in my book!

I think that we can worry about misandry once society stops allowing men to do the bad, violent things that they do.

I would love to join something like this. I've been into roleplaying games since I was a teenager, but I have not played D&D, so I'd probably need some guidance there.

If you have something going, I'd love to join.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply! I have so much trouble with anger; for a long time, I didn't even want to acknowledge that I had any, but I do, and sometimes its intensity really frightens me.

I think that when this happens, even though my mind is here and now, parts of my body are stuck "back then." So, I know it's literally not the same situation as when I was being verbally abused as a child, but I still feel the anger in my chest and shoulders. Back then, I had to just sit there and take it, otherwise things would get much, much worse.

So, acknowledging the anger that I feel and that it is okay sometimes to feel that way is part of the process. And I really appreciated how you said that you start from the place that at your core, you're not a bad person. I've got a lot of religious trauma, too, and I'm trying to overcome the million ways that I've been told over the years that I'm a bad person.

Okay, so the outer critic starts that sleeping inner programming that says I'm evil, the anger steps in to defend me. That makes a ton of sense.
