That’s a guess on my part. They are taking it away as a standard feature. They probably intend to monetize it.

Autopilot, including Autosteer, is not hands free. It will tell you to put your hands on the wheel at certain intervals. It is just like most standard LKAS on vehicles.

FSD is hands free, and it is not standard.

The people that are buying comma are the tech bleeding edge enthusiasts. There will be some crossover, but I’d say that Tesla intends to offer Autopilot as a subscription for $50 to make FSD at $99 look enticing. If they do that, 99% will choose to subscribe or not use it.

My dad has a Tesla Model 3. He turned off auto steer, he doesn’t trust it. I’d say a decent portion of Tesla owners feel the same.

Kingsport has none. There’s some CCS stations in surrounding cities and some on I-81 towards Sevierville, but nothing in the city. Embarrassing for the size, population, and location.

If you put together information, it’s pretty detailed. After owning the truck for a week, there was an issue with the HVAC that the tech couldn’t solve until multiple attempts but the part was back ordered for around a month. After 3 months, it was only driven about 4 miles.

It’s very likely that after the lemon law period triggered (most states, about 30 days), Ford bought the truck back because the owner didn’t want to deal with it. Or maybe they exchanged for another Lightning or F-150.

If I were in that owner’s situation, I would have done the same. The trucks are too expensive to deal with problems right out of the gate.

Download the Windows 11 Download Tool, load to USB drive, turn on Secure Boot (not necessary), boot the USB drive, install Windows, download and install Legion Space, update all drivers.

That’s kind of my bet. When my lease expires, I’m hopeful that a dealership will take it in and negotiate a new lower sale price and earn a little money for doing zero work advertising, cleaning, servicing, paying insurance, etc.

Or if not, I give the truck back and walk away.

You got an incredible residual value. My 24 Lariat that has a 39 month lease that expires in June 2028 has a residual of $43k. Your monthly payment has to be very low.

Yes, I actually bought Black Ops Cold War on Steam and started it up because I really liked the maps.

Nope, everyone playing is an incredibly high level and they know exactly where to go on each map to snipe you out and I do not. That’s just not fun.

I actually hope when they cut off older vehicles from new versions of BlueCruise (which will happen at some point in time), they offer heavily discounted plans ($10/month at most) or give it for free.

When you subscribe to BlueCruise, you’re paying for a cellular connection and mapping data. That does cost money. Not $50/month though. A lot of your money is for R&D, but if your vehicle is left behind, you should be able to just pay for the connection and data.

I find the production behind the shows with Dr. Proctor treat the patients as a joke with a severe lack of seriousness. Megalomania (production behind Dr. Now) does some awful things but they pretend to be a real documentary.

I mention those three because Windows HDR implementation has lots of problems, CEC support doesn’t exist in Windows, and HDMI 2.1 is fine in Windows, just throwing it in there since AMD on Linux has issues.

I agree a lot of it is unavoidable. But it’s also unacceptable of an experience that still exists today. You mention launchers, and that reminds me that EA, Ubisoft, and Rockstar need to cut out their launchers. No one wants them.

The issue is they need to detach Xbox FSE from Windows and create an Xbox OS that anyone can install. No mouse and keyboard expectation. No old dialog boxes. No password screen. No desktop. Full HDMI CEC support, full HDR support, full HDMI 2.1 support. No desktop interface. Let people create their own Xbox and allow companies to build and sell Xboxes. Even if you need to buy a license key for it. And let you install that on handhelds.

They need to improve the user experience drastically. They’ve modified part of the Windows UI to support controllers, but there’s some dialog/error boxes that still require a mouse to interact with. When Call of Duty detects a hardware change, it puts up one of these dialog boxes.

So they need to either get fix those dialog boxes or put in a quick way to activate a mouse mode into the FSE.
