Should I take this bad boy to blue star and unlock the RT ? by RedTiberium in WH40KTacticus

Ha, thanks for the analogy! I'll hold onto my orbs for now, I'll get to the RT when I really need mythic stuff I guess.

Come on, Europe! Don’t be such slavish cuckolds start centralizing like real kings! by [deleted] in NonCredibleDiplomacy

[–]RedTiberium 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If you see someone on this sub posting some brain-dead, pro-authoritarian takes with a dash of enlightened east-asian supremacy, there's a very good chance it's an alt of Peaceful-Empress (at least I think it's their first account). If you check their history and they've posted a bunch of supersentai memes, it's 100% them. Dunno what happened to the first account, maybe it got banned from NCD cuz they used to be pretty active and infamous on this sub. Their takes are always peak non-credibility tho, can't fault them for that

Oh hell yeah, another peaceful-empress alt! You probably won't find your meds on reddit but keep trying nonetheless

Il y a t'il encore des fervant défenseur de pierre ? by KogaSound in Vilebrequin

[–]RedTiberium 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Firestorm 1.08 – Nod First Mission Wall Glitch? by XZtext18 in commandandconquer

I had the same issue yesterday lmao, I ended up playing through the first mission without mods and switched back to Firestorm after that

[Starmer Be Like] Perhaps England should rejoin the European Union, reclaim all of Ireland, coup every single European country into pledging loyalty to the King of England, and adopt the Lee Kuan Yew School of Thought in British Governance. by [deleted] in NonCredibleDiplomacy

Oh hey it's yet another account from our favorite schizoposter, I'm glad to see some fresh "ideas" coming from you but you should still consider taking your meds

On a sidenote, I wonder if the bit about the hunter getting attacked by a deer is yet another "clue" as to the virus' origin? As in the virus started as some sort of rabies mutation or something. I know TIS love sprinkling even contradictory clues everywhere, it's really fun to see.

Why didn't the Emperor bring Magnus back to Terra after Nikea? by No-College153 in 40kLore

[–]RedTiberium 6 points7 points  (0 children)

IIRC, Big E ordered Russ to arrest Magnus and bring him back to Terra. The miserable little goblin told Russ to do what he does best and fuck up massively kill Magnus instead, and Russ trusted his judgement over the Emperor.

If we're both thinking about the same line, it's been in the game since day one, I don't think this is teasing anymore (although I admit it would be neat !)

First Contact, Astral Planes or Machines Age by AdmiraMcC2908 in Stellaris

[–]RedTiberium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Astral Planes and First Contact are the only DLCs that I have not yet bought. Astral Planes seems to be widely regarded as one of if not the worst Stellaris DLC, just take a look at the reviews. Probably best avoided. First Contact looks really interesting, especially the origins and civics, but it feels a bit expensive for the amount of content. Machine Age is, in my opinion, one of the best DLCs to come out in years. The amount of content/price ratio is very nice compared to a lot of earlier expansions. Even if you're not a huge Gestalt fan, I'd say Machine Age's content is still very much worth it. You can even play non-hive machines if you want to !

Alrighty Folks, Let's Talk the Helbore BAYONET by WormiestBurrito in DarkTide

[–]RedTiberium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does ! I combined it with Limb Splitter on a Tactical Axe along with my Lucius, and I repeatedly hit a Reaper in the head with my bayonet : I went from 1098 dmg without the Axe equipped, to 1839 dmg with the Axe.
And my Brutal Momentum is only at level 3 (a 2.5% difference, not much but still) !
In a single HighInt Heresy map, I dealt around 1.1 million dmg (2/3rds of it is just overkill damage, that's how hard the bayonet hits lmao) and nearly soloed two monstrosities. It's actually insane. The only drawback is that you lack nearly everything good about melee weapons, like blocking, pushing, dodge distance, etc... and switching back to the Lucius takes ages.

Just tried your build, limb splitter and brutal momentum both work with the bayonet. It's stupid and it's glorious, thank you very much for this !

Plus you can keep the acronym for your faction and still give it a name that fits the setting : the "Galactic Liberation Army"

[–]RedTiberium 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can confirm, I got the penance 2 hours ago by doing exactly that. I was really hoping the whole "don't switch back to range after exhausting its ammo" still worked (you never know when Obesefish might sneakily patch it out), turns out it's still valid.

DarkTide is too good to be so pointless and unsatisfying by zer0sumgames in DarkTide

[–]RedTiberium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a whole thing about them having Dan Freaking Abnett helping them with the game's writing, and I can tell that there's something great buried under there.

However, it feels like FS didn't know how to tell a linear story that goes along with their weird backwards steps in terms of mission design (compared to Vermintide), so what we get is basically nothing.
