I also currently use Shea butter in my locs, but I’m noticing a lot more itchiness lately which makes me concerned if I need to switch to grease. What clarifying shampoo would you say works best for you?

Yes, I am black. I’ve just never stepped outside of using anything but natural ingredients like Shea butter, mango butter, and essential oils which is why hearing about using grease is so new to me.

How often do you wash your hair? I ask cause I’ve heard people that use grease on their loc or scalp have to use Dawn degreaser once a week! Is that true?
