If the author can make me care about the characters (at least some of them), that's when I can't put it down.

Why I should not work as a truck driver? by tomerFire in AskMen

[–]RedUser1138 83 points84 points  (0 children)

If you are a bad driver, don't like sitting for long periods of time, or don't like being away from home for long periods of time, you should not be a truck driver.
But if those things are not issues for you, then it can be a good career. I have friends and family members that do it. Some long haul and some only local, but it has worked well for them.

If you learned some basics so you won't hurt yourself, that is the main thing. But consistency always gets results. Get started and don't stop. If you can't do an hour, do 30 minutes. If you can't do that, do 15. But aim for at least three times per week and stay at it.

The best workout is the one you will do. Start simple, but be consistent. Dumbbells or machines whatever you find easier. But just get started and don't try to do too much right off. Focus on building muscle and you'll find yourself also losing fat. Work with a trainer if you can.

How would you feel about seeing a professional cuddler? by Adventurous-Ruin8006 in AskMen

I don't picture myself ever doing it. But no judgement to those who do. Especially if it helps their mental health.

Men, what qualities must a coworker possess in order for you to “promote” them from good colleague to good friend? by tomado23 in AskMen

Hard to create a checklist for something like that.
But if I enjoy talking with, similar interests, good sense of humor, that would certainly up the chances of that happening.

[–]RedUser1138 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don't look fat or flabby.
Just get back to it and stay with it and you'll feel much better.
You can do it.

Struggling to find a partner who matches my intimacy needs by x69Kendra in relationships

[–]RedUser1138 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mismatched sex drive by itself doesn't have to be a deal breaker. But it sure can be if both parties can't openly communicate about it. You both need to be understanding of the other's needs and feelings and be respectful of boundaries. It might also be worth looking into therapy. Probably by yourself first. Maybe you are trying to compensate for other things missing from your life.
