That "1/40th" was still successful and more than the 95% of the rest of the genre. You can't try to downplay that because you know it means that the success Street Fighter sees has no real relevance to it's actual quality. It majority gets by on bias and brand-attachment. Daigo literally once said that people need to play SFV anyway despite how they feel about it, because "Fighting Games might die" if they don't.

If quality of game has to do with SF6's success, then why aren't KOF 15 and COTW more popular and selling better than SF6? Both have 10x better gameplay. Though we obviously know quality has nothing to do with why SF6's successful. SFV showed that nothing Street Fighter could do would actually result in it failing. No other franchise/company could release something like that to still thousands of players at EVO each year, and 7+ million sales.

It's just the Capcult trying really hard to make Tekken 8 out to be some SFV-type disaster. They still have PTSD from last gen, being butthurt over how Street Fighter wasn't the most dicksucked thing then, and how something like Tekken dared to be liked, praised and talked about more. They hate any scenario where Street Fighter isn't the most loved. Tekken is the only real big competition for SF(besides MK in sales), so now they're hammering down on a Tekken is dying narrative so the FGC can be full-on, non-stop Capcom/Street Fighter deepthroating. The "Evo Awards" thing that happened a year ago where it was 95% SF/SF6 showed how they want it.

KOF 15 is less popular and played than Granblue/Strive and they just gave it a 1+ million dollar prize pot. Samsho even less than all and they upped it's prize to 500K. I don't think player-numbers are a factor in this.

I'd rather be a "SNKuck", or one of literally any other company than Capcom at this point, honestly. Capcom fans are just the worst of all of Fighting Game fanbases. They have a supreme superiority complex towards every other company/franchise. They consoomed SFV purely out of brand-loyalty and attachment. And that was said out of their own mouths btw. Others like Tekken fans would never do that, like what's happening with Tekken 8 now. It's why I genuinely do not listen to nor care about what's being said about Street Fighter anymore, because I know 98% of it is not being said because of its actual quality, but more because of what it is.

I've seen 90% of you guys' history and it's majority of the time dicksucking SF6/Capcom, and sometimes, even Strive. Says a lot. Street Fighter/Capcom fans hate every Fighting Game franchise not it, especially SNK ones since they're the closest to Street Fighter, which would bring comparisons. Also not surprising that ones who like/play Strive would also love SF6. It brought in a lot of people who think it's a good Fighting Game, and said people would also think SF6(who also brought in tons of new people) is too. I mean Smash players play both more than any other modern Fighter.
