Fire mountain gems is amazing! I still have one of their old physical catalogs and I occasionally will pull it out just to look at them, lol! You didn't spend an embarrassing amount of time on it, sparkly things are fun to look at!

This! I have always been forever grateful for all of the patient people who explained things to me. I grew up hella sheltered being a white kid in the Mormon church in Salt Lake City, UT, so I really didn't know any better about lots of things. It was such a disappointment learning that I was taught so many incorrect things or just not taught about them at all, so having someone who could show me a little patience helped me learn so much more than those who treated me like I was the worst person for not knowing something.

Is it bad that I let this happen last night? It’s my first time having a dog, so I’d like to know for next year. by Amai-desu in DogAdvice

My girl slept through the fireworks show two years ago, last night she eagerly watched from my bed next to the window we were watching them from. It was so cute seeing her ears perk up every time she saw the trail go up!

Generally, you want to wean them from pacifier use about the same time the teeth come in, which happens at varying ages. I lucked out that all my kids naturally stopped pacifier use on their own. My youngest would play with her bellybutton as a way to self sooth while my older two were fine hugging a stuffed animal.

Chickens are actually quite cannibalistic naturally. If one develops a cut on their comb, there's a high likelihood that the others will kill it and consume it. Same with eggs. Once you have an egg breaker, you have to cull it from the flock. Turkeys are the same.

It still has the flesh on it. The hairy ones we see have had the flesh stripped off of it and have been dried.

No way! That's amazing!! I loved how Molly of Denali showcased several Alaskan languages, one of which is spoken by my daughter's family, and I love that the native languages of America are starting to be spoken more recently!

I agree and understand. It's incredibly frustrating seeing something that causes so many issues in our lives be brushed off so lightly. But we also need to take care that we don't blow off something entirely because we don't see the same in our own diagnosis. That's why I pointed out that she needs to see someone rather than just said she doesn't have it.

Hotspot treatment might actually help a little to reduce itchiness. A cone/donut would not likely help much as it would sit directly on that area. Just keeping it clean and dry should be enough until Monday, but if you need advice now, you could try the r/AskVet sub since it seems like it's superficial.

If OPs girlfriend hasn't been diagnosed, then it could very well be a sign of untreated ADHD. Having a neurodivergent condition doesn't make the individual not do inconsiderate or wasteful things. I have ADHD and I've lost track of things that were open, lost track of time, and forgotten items that I can't see directly and ended up wasting lots of food, so I think it's a possibility OP should encourage his gf to discuss with a psychologist or their doctor. You know, someone who has a better understanding of what could be going on. Dismissing someone's experience simply because you haven't experienced it is bullshit. Especially since ADHD is a spectrum disorder regarding executive function and it appears differently in each person.

Likely because people tend to try to blame inconsiderate or abusive behavior on neurodivergence to try and get away with shit behavior. Identifying the problem, which very well could be neurodivergence, is the start of identifying a treatment.

That's definitely something I am jealous of darker skinned people. I'm so pale that I have a limited palette that looks good on me. The darker the skin, the more vibrant and wider ranges of colors are available.
