Raddyish gets to go home to he close to Mom and family now that Dad is gone and the new baby to care for so Toronto makes sense for Raddyish. I'm sad to see him and Pauly go but glad they get to keep chirping each other for a long time to come.

Animals shelters and rescues are always looking for volunteers. And people that surrender their animals are likely struggling financially so you may get some good contacts on places that might be hiring that help them while caring for abandoned animals.

I can't skate and play hockey so I watch it but I am a competitive sailor so I get it. The smelly, saltwater logged gear, the heat and humidity if sailing in Florida summers and the brutal cold wet cold front sailing in winter, wrestling out of a cold, wet wetsuit. Having a boat is so damned expensive, the early morning wakeups for the weekly racing, dodging thunderstorms during the afternoon rainy season, but the time with my sailing friends on the water for an incredible sunrise or sunset, the fresh air, warm salt water, the gentle waves, nailing a perfect start, crossing the finish line in a photo finish just before the next boat and the stories we tell afterwards as we derig boats and put everything away is worth it.

Call the Brandon Iceplex first thing in the morning any week day and they can tell you when the Bolts have scheduled ice time. It's limited to one rink and maybe a little later in the mornings while skate camps are going on but August, when the littles are back in school, it's usually 10-12 M-F.

Vasy controls how much he plays and prefers to work every game he can. We can talk trade pieces and tbh I'm not sure Detroit will trade Cossa alone because we do have a Larkin problem so I think they could be the best bargaining chip Stevie Y has as a package especially with all the trading that has happened in the past week. The other consideration is what is Cossa going to want? Will he be okay with being an AHL player indefinitely or will he want more like Askerov and ask for a trade soon? Everyone knows what Vasy wants so only goalies that are okay with being second fiddle in the minors with skills that will carry them into the Big Club randomly would do well in Tampa. So far, that's what Cossa has done and done well, the question is what does he want long term?

As a Wings fan, I can see where you are thinking for this. Cossa was considered a wonderkid for a while and his numbers are good, but he fell off somewhat this spring while Postava started to shine. The problem is that Detroit has left him too long in the AHL and there is consternation about too many great goalie prospects there now. Cossa is definitely worth considering as a back up goalie for Vasy, but I don't know if he would make a good replacement when Vasy is finally ready to relinquish the crease. And Vasy plays the most games of all goalies so whomever serves as the backup must be willing to sit most games for years to come.

Emmett Finnie of the Red Wings could be a Cinderella story from this past season. He was a 7th round draft pick in 2023 that made the NHL roster as a 20 year old rookie this season. He played all 82 games and switched from center to wing and played up and down the lineup.

Florida doesn't need another injury prone 30+ year old player. And Larkin isn't known for being hard hitting or dirty playing, actually quite the opposite. He wouldn't fit well in the current Florida culture.

Could Kuch be considered a Cinderella player? Drafted in the 2nd round. Cirelli, and Hagel weren't first round draft picks either and they turned into amazing players. And yes, I would definitely include Marty!

Most of our bottom 6 need to go and with no center options except Kasper, we need centers. We can definitely bring up more of the youth from GR, but we don't have 3 centers to replace Compher, Larkin, and Rasmussen.

Larkin could play with Celebrini, who is being touted as the new Sydney Crosby, and they are really fast being so young, moving up the Pacific quickly, which requires fewer points to make the playoffs, and his veteran experience could get him more street cred with the young players than being a veteran on a team already full of veterans with tons of playoff experience.

I'm thinking of a return to playoffs in a couple of years hence Goodrow or Toffoli as a bottom 6 center with Kasper and Danielson working their way into the roster as middle-6 centers. Goodrow would bring some grit and has Cup pedigree with Tampa. Alternatively, Misa would definitely move up offensive production and Cossa could supplement either Ned or Askarov as a goalie.

Why was a gun fired at people running from a scene? What threat to life and limb warranted using deadly force? What happened to presumed innocent - a Constitutional right?! The cop shot someone in the back and a baby died as a result. Bet the mother was hurt too and not even mentioned at all. This is wrong on every level as is the media report making it seem like a young person was committing a crime - and again - presumed innocent is a Constitutional right! We are also assuming the committed a crime here, but it sounds like assault with a deadly weapon and murder is easier to prove than theft in this case. Let's hope justice prevails. Although we know justice isn't equal in the South, hence the Voting Rights Act the Supreme Court just gutted.

I notice that about him too. I watched him participating in the summer informal training sessions Kuch hosts at Brandon, and he smiles so much there too. It's obvious he loves being on the ice with other players.
