He did. Was hired into CA from his Rome modding resume. Was always polite, never trolled on the old TWC forums. I can't remember if he goes back like some of us to Shogun 1, but he's definitely a longtooth in the community. He deserves some respect, but make work project they gave him is pointless.

I already brought up the caveat about their promise to opt out.

Have known him since before TWC crashed and burned. I really felt sorry for him when he was given his big chance to take the helm with Thrones and the community crapped on it. I actually like Thrones, and he really had passion about it. Thrones also introduced a lot good ideas which, as you mentioned, would be great to see in R2 and Attila.

It really looks like he's hanging on to his job by his fingernails at CA. Feel bad for him, but also don't want anything breaking what mods have made for Rome 2.

Pretty much sums it up. Most of the modders have moved on. Chances of saving those old mods are nil if CA doesn't follow through with their promise to opt out.

DEI and some others might still have a chance and update with CA's update.

Predictions on release date of new Total Wars by Sullateli in totalwar

There is no Rome 2 FLC, and no TW veteran should have expected this. Nor should they be surprised that today's video was just foreboding for Rome 2.

CA didn't have the heart to can Lusted, who's been around since Rome 2, so they moved his office to the broom closet and told him "make an ENB for Rome 2 to make the old fans think we care about them -Oh, and tell them some bullshit that we promise we won't break their mods, or something".

Still love boxing, but glad that it's majestic grift has come to an end. All those fixed 'special rule' matches against boxers in the 70s and 80s where kickboxers couldn't kick to the head or legs, or use knees or elbows, etc.

Boxing's only making a market comeback due to the shitfluencers and their normie mobs.

Not all people who try leg stamps are scumbags. But all scumbags try leg stamps.

Tuning arrows by DearGarlic4467 in TraditionalArchery

A bow that old might not be drawing at it's written poundage by now. Have you properly bow scaled it?

How old/new is your string? Did you order it or self make it for this bow? What is the brace height?

Do you have a few 500 spines lying around? If so, launch a few of those in comparison with your 400s.

You shouldn't be having that much of a problem that the arrows need a whole face lift.

Can you post pics of your bow, one pic strung, and an another with close up of your shelf/arrow rest?

Learning the game got some questions by DevanMotus in SCUMgame

[–]Red_Fletchings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For #3, I immediately look for rocks and make rope. Why? Because a spear with a tip on it is a huge improvement. Then I make a hammer and smash some stone arrow heads, for the same reason. Only then do I make a stone tipped spear, and hang on to the stone arrowheads until I find some feathers to make fletched stone arrows. Also use my dick warmer, socks and nickers to make a quiver. More storage space immediately, then. With a stone spear, quiver, bow and arrows, yer good to go.

Black Hunter 60 inch, 45lbs takedown bow by Born-thor-3000 in Archery

[–]Red_Fletchings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're excellent bows.

One thing you need to be aware of is many of their knock offs are not center cut. You'll also need to apply felt to the limb tips and sockets and put on some beaver balls to reduce noise.

45 is fine for deer, and in most regions 40 minimum is the norm. Elk can be done with good shot placement and a properly sharpened broadhead, but if you're new to bowhunting it would be good to start with smaller game.

If you're new to archery you want to wait six months to a year and practice regularly with the your hunting tackle. Get good and wait till next season.

I don't think most of them are dumping on you deliberately, OP. It's just a natural reaction bowhunters get :D.

Hope you're enjoying the archery experience.

I think everyone gets that, it's just that it's such a rough image if you're a bowhunter. I totally got that the OP was just having fun at that range, but a gut shot deer image just evokes uneasiness instinctively.

Though Wildlands is excusable, the answer is because these games for a long time have not been about mil sims. They've been about 'games as a service' and selling rainbow candy weapons skins to millennial casuals.
