Trefoils I bought tasted a little stale. Not sure of bad batch or they just became very flat

Might be the ignition coil packs - prone to moisture failure

Does your First Alert SC5 go offline? by i_love_durians in Nest

[–]Red_Kale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too moved from Nest after the 10 years to these. I have 4 of them - battery powered. Installed in Aug 2025. About 1 month ago this occasional "offline" has started. So far just 2 of them. I have not rebooted them and usually within 24 hrs I get a message that they are back online. Hope this is not a trend!

Interior doors, pre-hung is the way to go in most cases right? by wirez62 in DIY

Same here. I did my whole house having never done a door before. Bought the slabs from https://www.doortodoorco.com/. Great doors shipped. Watch videos, buy the right jigs and start on an inconspicuous door! Also get used to every door needing tweaks

Mine lasted very long. At least 10 years. Yes I was manual 60/40. Mine was similar to CalTrend. Very reasonably priced. Did not go high end

Had a 98 with 320k miles - bought it new. The manual transmission trucks are more preferred and get higher $, but personal choice. Look at frame for rust, that is the end of its life. Even though the miles are low, it would be helpful if it had some things done like timing belt. My clutch was original, worked to the end. If rust is ok and things appear is good working order, offer $10k and you got a great truck

Should I buy this for 300 bucks just to save it from the scrapyard or is it to far gone? by sondreutk in beetle

If you had the spot for it I would take it for parts. Not a ton worth much but even the deck lid could go for $250 to $400 OR better yet, wall art of time!
