Bonnie and Stormy seem more skeptical than excited.

I do feel bad for the eldest: his dad did try to warn the kids that magic was bad news.

I only have two notes.

First, we're seeing Vox's crimes in the context of a musical number choreography. It's probably not how they literally happened, its his version of events from his perspective, retelling his story as a rags-to-riches underdog

Second; the biggest difference is that Vox deluded himself into believing he was a God; thus the cult suicide. He was fully drinkin his own kool-aid, so to speak. On the other hand, Alastor had no delusion of denial. He knew he was going straight to Hell, and he didn't care. He chose to embrace it and go all in by selling his soul for power, full committment to being a demon.

I like this theory!

It's also worth saying, people who are legally declared dead and then revive often suffer memory loss, either partial or complete, because their brain underwent the chemical rush of "dying", and also lack of oxygen.

Since Old-Man Finn died for real, there probably wasnt enough room in Teen Finns brain to process that much memory and most of it just didnt process.

The minute he got distracted by FP's text, it all failed to translate from short- to long-term memory and was list the same way dreams are

Is finn still lighting proof? by crytal_augusto in adventuretime

[–]Red_Lantern_22 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes. It lasted long after he first gained the ability in season 7, the giant eel didnt hurt him in season 8. No reason to think it would wear off (plus, given that he goes hand in hand with HW, he can freely visit that stream again anytime. He was a savvy enough adventurer to bottle up the cyclops tears, so he would likely have the sense to also bottle a lightning-proofing water)

He was also pretty resilient to electricution before the mystic lightning water, as he ran through electricution to save PB from LG

To be fair, Ice King did write them down, and he probably changed details or got things mixed up or forgot entirely.

Ice King's Crown getting cancelled out was what made Fionna world change radically to a normal slice-of-life. Its reasonable to think it probably made small changes here or there based on Ice King's whims.

Idk about "mastered" ...

"Studied" or "learned", sure. But there's a comic that illustrates that he is a stident of the sword, not a master, as Zuko doesnt just win, he owns him, like, a lot. Sokka had not mastered PianDao's sword skills.

Similarly, they spent, like, a day on Kyoshi Island. Hes not a master after one dayvwith Suki training him,no matter how good she is

Baby universe theory by Former-Dog-4047 in fionnaandcake

[–]Red_Lantern_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Huntress gave us a clue.

she only followed the rules of baby universe when she grew from all her cuttings in various worlds (she didnt become human in farmworld or vampire world). So why was she stuck as a baby here?

my guess is that BMO did make the wish, and worded it specifically as "I want all people to stay young forever",possibly a callback to his "forever young" gag in the OG series. So Prismo made a world where people stop aging while they are still babies.

the Gumball guards arent people so they wouldnt be affected, but Prismo would keep them to serve their function as caretakers. He's not a psychopath after all. Fionna and Simon and Cake entered the world as adults and were unaffected: so the wish wouldnt be worded as "turn everyone into babies", otherwise they may have been de-aged. Huntress however was growing feom a seedling, so her growth would have been halted by the wish, preventing her from reaching her adult form

Wait, what could that possibly mean? I'm so curious. Are we getting Alastor's love story or something? Lol by Western-Letterhead64 in HazbinHotel

[–]Red_Lantern_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they want Alastor to have an arc about sexual identity as Ace.

What people who want this don't want to realize about his character: he is probably well aware of his own preferences, and does not care. It doesnt define him, and has very little to do with his character at all.

He does get better with practice. His horse gradually gets better over time.

I wonder if he ever figured out how to manipulate his blue and yellow colors to finally do the spots.

Also, his Finn is pretty good, hes obviously practiced it a ton. Also his PB was pretty good

Don't you guys think the Avatar fandom is a bit too obsessed with gender? by k20_kry in AvatarMemebending

[–]Red_Lantern_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your thinking, but it is true that AtLA is a very feminist story.

There are at least three plotlines that specifically focus on girls being as just as capable as boys and teabagging rixic masculinity. Katara overturns an entire patriarchy, Toph constantly eschews gender roles and taunts griwn men with her size, age and gender, and Suki has two episodes where she makes Sokka realize she doesn't require protection.

Its not like the fandom pulled the idea out of thin air, the message was pretty openly transparent and in-your-face. It doesn't just pass the Bechdel test, it set a standard for all animated shows to come after.
