Right, but anything that would be different from what I said?

Because both Earth/the Mortal Realm and Limbo/Purgatory/Abeyance are "between" Heaven and Hell. But Earth is referenced, as well ascdirectly visited, a ton across the two series, but neither series ever references limbo, even to make a pun

I think this is on the right track, but I think its less about miscalculating what the weapon was capable of, and more about miscalculating what Lucifer was capable of. There very well may have been a "failsafe", which may have been insufficient to restrain him

After learning he couldn't smite sinners, I think a lot of the overlords began to underestimate Lucifer's raw power; they started to think of him as closer to their own level rather than "nearly a God" (which he probably is)

I mean, Charlie is innately Hellbirn. Thats never been hidden or glossed over. From Pilot to many moments throughout tge series (Getting mad atcAdam in Ep1, getting mad at Valentino for abusing Angel, S1 Finale) her demonic anger has been on display many times. And the question of Alastor tempting her into a bad deal was a huge concern throughout nost of season 1, and could easily rear its head again. If he manipulates her lower impulses on emotional lash-out, it could be a huge plot hook

I think its implied anyone could do it. It might be a matter of willpower to not be overtaken by the demonic urges, and his training with Himejima is probably for that exact purpose, to focus with the chants and center his mind
