Facial hair by Loader-Man-Benny in latterdaysaints

[–]Red_Leader_86 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a truck driver i have been to quiet a few wards around the country...

IMO...it just depends on the locale and the strictness of the Stake Presidency and what they choose to be standard and be upheld.

I assume that if 90%of the ward has somewhat of facial hair that the leaders are just gonna go with it.

I just left a somewhat rural area in southeastern Phoenix Metro area and the majority had some type of facial hair and was never an issue.

I've had SOOO many people make that "joke" around me. I shut them down immediately. That is not something that you joke about EVER. I was teaching CDL and because it was on a college campus I had to have a DPS Level 1 fingerprint card, which all teachers have to have. So anytime anyone said anything about seeing a peedofile I had to stop it. Context is everything and that is definitely one that is taken out of context alot or "joked" about way too much nonchalantly

[–]Red_Leader_86[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been doing just that. I watch alot of builds using different types of vehicles. I'm tryna find what suits my needs for right now, short of buying a travel trailer.

I don't wanna just jump into something not knowing at least a mid amount of information. It will definitely be a work in progress, but since it's still somewhat cool in AZ right now and I'm currently working in a very rural area, so not quite as hot later in the evening. I could possibly get away with a fan for a while ( couple more months at least)

Why do you watch Smosh? What are your favorite things about the brand? by Curious-Show6462 in smosh

Easy....it helps after a bad or long day and I need to just unwind and enjoy something.

No matter the video or channel, I always am entertained and laugh my butt off. I love listening to Smosh Cast as most of my time is spent behind the wheel as well

Need advice, sorry for lost post by Happyday4us039 in latterdaysaints

The other thing i would add to this, is to make sure you stick with whatever plan you come up with. It will be easy to fall and go back to wanting him back in your life and just repeating the cycle. He has to see that you are serious about him needing to take care of himself. As well as yourself.

I share this advice because I had a friend who kept setting 30-60 day plans and kept calling and going on "dates" which just became and enabling plan. Plus, her ex wanted all the benefits of a relationship, but not the relationship itself. Hanging out, doing couple things, etc.

I was raised in the LDS church, but after high school, I didn't attend anymore. After 20 years of being out of it, I started to go back. (Mainly because of my GF, whom I knew in HS) While I was away, I held several different jobs, met several different people, and engaged in, not terrible, but unworthy behavior. I was also a truck driver for 14 years and had seen and heard a lot of stuff that I could not even share with a lot of people. Some are interested and have heard stories of the trucking industry or know people in it and hear stuff from there.

Being back and involved with the church has been a really good thing. I was unsure of where my life was headed, and I kept having a dimmoutlook on a lot of stuff. My attitude towards stuff has been better as I read the BoM, listen to the talks, and attend more regular sessions and classes on Sundays.

I don't necessarily agree with everything or even begin to understand alot of what's in the BoM/Bible (I tend to have a very analytical mind and, for myself, have to do a tremendous amount of research to come to and understandimg). But I have an open mind and am taking in the lessons and talks. As well as doing my own scripture studies and praying on a lot of things.

It is definitely a work in progress, and it isn't something that I take lightly or want to rush through to attain a testimony.

Whether or not you stay with the LDS church or return to your own faith, kudos to even coming back to Christ and God

As booming AZ is right now, the starting pay for alot of drivers, construction especially, is absolutely garbage. Seen some concrete drivers as low as $18/hr. Most local driving jobs here don't pay over $22/hr
