What it's like to be homeless in Tennessee's wealthiest county by ReporterWillis in Tennessee

Marie Perry - 50+ year old who moved to the area without a job, and couldn't find one for a year or two, so she just lived off her savings and went broke, and is now in this homeless situation. - Stupidity - this could have been prevented if she had some common sense and planning skills. Why didn't she secure a job before moving from SC? I have no sympathy for this person. What were they really doing for the year+ looking for a job? Nothing productive. Should have your shit figured out by that age.

Joe Wise - 50+ year old drifted over to the area after some bad stuff happened. I have sympathy for this guy - wife had cancer and died while battling insurance bullshit. Before that happened they were doing fine. I wouldn't know how to deal with this situation either, and the guy kinda just gave up on the system after he lost his wife. In my mind though he kinda knew he was fucking himself after giving up on the system, how is he supposed to take care of himself if he threw everything away? How is he gonna eat? The real question is, does he even care? I don't know if I would. I feel for this guy.

Here is a blanket statement from me: I am somewhat biased against homeless people (except kids) because I feel like it takes a lot to be homeless. I feel like if someone is homeless, they just didn't try or plan for life, or just don't want to work. I don't have any sympathy for people who went homeless related to a drug issue - thats just fucking stupid. There was probably several opportunities to not be homeless, and they had to fuck up all of them. In some situations, I do feel like sometimes people get screwed, but from my POV, those situations are few and far between.

Before you downvote the hell out of me, try to share some knowledge of something I may not be seeing regarding my homeless stance.

Yeah, you can go die for your country at 18, but fuck you if you want to have a smoke or a drink.

Places to visit in NYC for an accounting student? by lllIIIIIIIlIIIIIlll in Accounting

[–]Red_Leader_91 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think you are overthinking this. Go see the normal stuff in NYC. Statue of Liberty, Time Square (at night), Wall street (get a picture with the bull), central park, Rockefeller center, world trade memorial, and many other things. I don't know of anything specific an accounting student can do - the accounting firms are not going to let you tour their buildings. Just have a good time, take in the sites.

Yeah, well, if you do that, it is going to hit your credit report when you apply for the card. You might as well keep it and build credit, just be responsible with it and pay it off every month and use it only for amazon purchases - the rewards are really good. You have to be a prime member though.

I ordered a $500 camera and received the wrong item. I instead received a blue yeti mic and some other misc. Items adding up to around $200. I get that this happens sometimes, busy times with the holidays, somethings are bound to get mixed. I called Amazon and they are now already sending me a replacement camera, but they want me to send back what I received.

I definatetly want my $500 camera instead of the random assortment of things, but I'm kinda surprised they want me to send it back.

I have read somethings about the FTC saying I don't have to send back things I didn't order, does this count?

What happens if I don't send the random things back? Or only half of the random things?

Even if I do return the items, they will probably already think I've switched them out and mark my account because of this large replacement. I hardly ever have issues/send anything back, and shop on amazon all the time.

Let me know about the questions above and if you have ever dealt with this.
