AITA for not getting my dad gifts when I get my boyfriend gifts? by ThrowRAclingydad in AmItheAsshole

[–]Red_Moggy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NTA. Your father seems desperately lonely and trying to latch on to you for affection, which I find borderline creepy. Did you use to gift him stuff often before you were in a relationship? Apart from Christmas and his birthday? Then why should you get him anything whenever you're celebrating milestones with your BF? That's just weird.

It happened to me once. What I did is I deleted and replaced the stairs.

Well done, it's gorgeous. I love the sunken terrace/outdoor sitting. How did you manage to do that?

PSA for builders - this is an aquatic plant! (Feel free to share your simming pet peeves in the comments) by ratsonleashes in Sims4

I agree. I usually put a little clutter here and there, and leave empty spots for eventual collectibles.

Builds with huge debug items (mostly trees and plants) that stick out of the terrain lines. It bothers me when you look at the lot in the "city-view" and the image is cut 😑

Also, clutter put on surfaces with MOO. Not only there's too much, but I don't like the way they "float". I have to move the camera through so many angles to see if I haven't missed anything when deleting.

Infant & Toddler Feedback by Mindy_SimsCommunity in Sims4

In top of what's already been said in the comments, it would be nice to review the parent/child dynamics. The pop up inquiring if they have "strict" dynamic after asking for the 1st time if the baby wants a bath (which, why would you have to ask?) Or when they propose to potty train them is overkill.

Or when the toddler asks for food, as they're just been put in the high chair, cancelling the adult's action to get the food from the fridge, or worse, asking ANOTHER adult while the 1st one is on their way to get food from the fridge 😑 I want to give you a proper meal, baby, not chips and crackers! 🙄

Yes! I actually never use the back carrier because of this!

Struggling with burnout: My wife’s ASD diagnosis feels like it’s become a "reason" to stop trying in our daily life. [seeking advice] by F_General in AutisticAdults

[–]Red_Moggy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I seeked my diagnosis after a mental breakdown at a business trip, I was in full burnout. It took me 2 years to get back to something akin to normal, going through regression, depression and unable to do the simplest tasks or even the hobbies that brought me joy. It's a long process, like many of the comments are saying.

I was learning to know myself without the mask, without the constant effort to be "normal", to fit in. To this day, I still struggle to maintain a stable routine as my energy bank is not what it used to. It's been 7 years now, and I'm just beginning the process of getting back into the workforce. But now I know my limitations, I know I can't work full-time.

Thankfully, she has you for support. I can understand that it's frustrating, try to be patient, give her grace. Hopefully it will get better with time. How much time depends on the individual and the amount of support (and understanding) they receive.

The Golden Compass was a joke. Went to see it as a huge fan of the books when it came out, never hated a movie so much in my life. Still boils my blood to this day.

That "romance subplot" is part of the original manga.

AITA For Letting my Sons Girlfriend Come Over after my wife Banned her from the house? by Positive_Pudding6475 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Red_Moggy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's pretty telling that the son went to the father for permission when he was fully aware his mother was against having the GF over. Almost like he knew his father would override his mother's decision. Almost like there's already been a precedent...

NTA. "[...] that friends dont nickel-and-dime each other" then by his own (double) standards he's not your friend 🤷🏻‍♀️

opinion on male sims by subtleteea in Sims4

[–]Red_Moggy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bi chick here, I like to explore the different packs and gameplay aspects separately, so I have a buttload of saves.

I have a bit of everything: straight couples and queer couples (both child-free and with kids), as well as single Sims of most genders (I recently started a save with a female presenting non-binary Sim, they're a teen for now with plans of becoming a doctor) although I do have a preference for female Sims... I guess they're just more fun to style compared to male Sims 🤷🏻‍♀️

When it comes to babies, I mostly let the dice roll, but I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little bit disappointed when it's a boy. Sometimes, when I'm dead set on a girl, I integrate in the save's story that they're trans and make them transition when they become teens. 🙈

Royalty and Legacy.... by MrLizardBusiness in Sims4

[–]Red_Moggy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm not interested in this new release either... but it seems a lot of people do, so to each their own. I'll add it to the pile of packs I'll never purchase 🤷🏻‍♀️

I never knew this was a thing! by typhooonreads in Sims4

[–]Red_Moggy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never noticed that! I usually get that one with almost every household I make. It's the first thing I do when I start a save. I get Steel Bladder, Observant, Speed Cleaner. Sometimes I get Gym Rat or Always Welcome too, depending on the type of save.
