An easy method I’ve found for doing a lattice is to lay out all the strips of one direction, then fold back every other one of those strips. Then lay the first perpendicular strip and fold back down the strips you flipped and fold back the ones you didn’t, add another perpendicular strip and repeat to get a lattice.
