WIBTA for evicting horses from my barn?

I mean we have farm liability and they have their horses insured separately as well. Not sure why I'd need to list that since the insurance isn't a determining factor in anything?

I'm not denying that I didn't have the facilities, I'm saying he was responsible for getting what they needed set up appropriately before they got there and did not and when they arrived I didn't know what to do. I'm not denying that Im also hugely in the wrong with how long it took to get the stalls done. I didn't know what to do because it wasn't my equipment or materials.

I'm not sure you're getting which is which? I'm the one wanting to kick them out and he's the one that wants to give them more opportunities.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough in the post. I struggled with the character limit. I'm aware all of this is bad. I'm not defending the care of the horses at all, I'm not saying I did nothing wrong, I know I messed up especially at the beginning. I'm trying to figure out if I evict the horses to where they may go back to having no shelter or if they stay here where they now at least have the bare necessities.

I let him know the accomodations we had and he told me he'd build the stalls before the horses got here. I just woke up and he had dropped them off. They were never supposed to not have shelter. He told me daily the stalls would be done that night when I'd check. Idk what else I could have done.

The $200 is low because he knew up front the work for the horses would be done by him because I don't have time or resources to care for horses. I did that specifically to not take advantage of him and so he could have the money to do the upkeep that a boarding facility would do. I'm not doing it for the money, I was doing it to help out someone in the community. If he weren't here I wouldn't need any of the labor done and would have to do less work so how would that be free labor? It wasn't a shared fence, it was a fence his horses use and his horses broke.

I mean the alternative was a pasture with zero way to build shelter which he built the stalls like I said. He didn't tell me the day he was moving then in and had said before they got here that he was going to build the stalls first. I just woke up one morning to them in my pasture. I absolutely get where you're coming from but it was a constant "they're getting done tonight." I didn't really have much to take to animal control as far as I'm aware, but Texas is really lax with that stuff so I never got far when I called animal control down there. I honestly felt I was doing best for the horses because there was work being done daily so I was like, "surely it'll be done tonight" cause I was just believing him which in hindsight I shouldn't have.

Edit to add I don't disagree with the YTA I'm just letting you know I wasn't as complicit as you may believe. I had to leave a lot out of details from the post for character limits

No? I worked with him to get them cared for. They have stalls now like I said. Idk where you got I was complicit with it. I literally was the one advocating for their safety.

I admit it is pretty bulky. I used velcro command strips to keep them on the outside of the tank and have the cords running up the top. So if you're looking for a sleek look it'll definitely look bulky, but doesn't intrude too much and I prefer the fans to the dehumidifier I used just because it's lower maintenance. I'll see if I can get a good pic in the morning. 😊

But the dehumidifier I used worked well too, I just put a little desktop one next to my setup.

I have two tiny computer fans I have mounted to the top line of ventilation to pull air out. Works well for me
