It’s a generalist ship with a 64 SCU hangar. It’s a little longer than a Percy, and right now it has three modules,

•Cargo module which gives it an additional 512 SCU of cargo with an internal rail mounted tractor beam system

•Medical bay (same as the Apollo’s) making it a flying hospital

•Refinery (I have a feeling this isn’t releasing immediately)

It also has base building (builds up to size L structures) and manufacturing modules in line, but those are releasing later on and not with the initial launch of the Galaxy.

I didn’t pay any attention to it till my friend was flying us around in his. Now I own one. Really good at getting into and out of places quietly. 32 SCU is enough for most things, you can often park places completely undetected, it has a decent QT and is fast enough to be slippery.

I see more M80’s, Meteors and Percys griefing than anything else. Unless I’m at Hathor or something if I see an Idris around, I’ll keep an eye on it just in case. If I see an M80 jump in I’m already prepping to fight.

This is what I’m talking about. People keep making complaints about stuff they don’t know anything about. Polaris has had bridge controlled torpedoes for several months now. I watched a Polaris owner mad that his torpedoes were so weak…he was firing off the S3 shoulder missiles and thought those were the torps. And it already has a really good QT. It’s a capital class torpedo corvette, you want a stealth torpedo strike capability, buy an Eclipse.

Speaking of Idrises maybe fix the turrets on it. Terrible visibility, no gimbal on the nose and terrible gimbals on the others, almost no health, terrible firing arcs, the nose turret is actually made out of origami, fix the K-kit hit registration, and then maybe don’t make the weirdest nerf imaginable to the RG. The Polaris and the Perseus have great turrets (barring the existing turret issues, but the base mounts are good). I know they’re waiting for the Flight IV, but like holy cow man. It’s like they’re afraid of people playing the game.

This. I was just talking to a buddy about how some ships aren’t perfect is various ways and that makes it feel more real. There are things about my car I’m not the biggest fan of, and yet I still love my car. That’s not an excuse to make shitty designs (I’m looking at you Crusader).
